CVS ECB Deals ~ Sales for Week 3/1-3/7

Total OOP will be $14.32 and I will have $5 ECB left over so net cost of $9.32 for over $50 worth of product or an 80% savings. Would that entice you?

I think it's perfect for the average shopper and it's something people can wrap their head around a lot easier vs. buying 5 toothpastes or a billion cotton rounds.

New people would run from a deal like Lumene and showing something like the Neutrogena soap from awhile back would also give people the wrong impression because it's a rare thing.

The only thing that would be better was several items that were free after ECB and had coupons available, but that's not happening anytime soon.

I'm not a regular on these threaders... more like a regular lurker :lmao:

I went to our CVS today during lunch from work and I did the razor deal and the ACT deal but nothing else makes it worth my while right now. What I was really upset about was the serious lack of clearance at our store! I saw one clearance bin and it was 90% off of valentines cards - there wasn't even any candy left :headache:

Same here. It was cute but I don't know that I would want to sit through it more than once either. :rolleyes1

Depends on your pharmacist. If they say no then you can take it to another drug store and then transfer it to CVS but the drug store you take it to will not be happy.

We have 1 store where the head pharmacist is very customer friendly and will allow coupons. He says he would rather take the coupon than lose the business to a competitor. :thumbsup2 The other local store is horrid about coupons so I avoid them like the plague since they would never accept a transfer coupon for a new script.

Ditto here. One is pretty friendly, the other couldn't care less.

You guys are getting so sick of me! But this is the best I could come up with assuming no ECB's or $X/$XX to start with. Hey, maybe it will help someone new to get started though :confused3 This isn't the best week in terms of getting ahead with ECB's....but I think it is a GREAT week in terms of products that people actually use at really good prices.....I cringe at paying $1 for deoderant, but to many that is a great deal ;)

Anyway, I usually tell people they need about $15-$20 up front to really get going at CVSing, so I guess this is realistic. I really wanted to get it down to about $10 OOP, but I just couldn't figure it out. If anyone has any suggestions, please share!!!!!

I think that looks good. And I do think it takes $20 to get started. My head is killing me, but I'll keep thinking about it.

Speaking of Lumene  I FINISHED my deal today. Quick trip to the one that adjusts down. Then ran into another, scored a black sequin makeup bag for .99 (90%off), they had ocean nasal saline (4) on clearence for $1.22, each had a .55 peelie on them (we use this a lot, so it was a good deal for me) they also had the shower soothers on clearance for $1 so I got two (I love those when I'm sick). I did that all with one Lumene coupon for the $2.99 cream and the girl took the whole $4 off. Let the rest of the line go down, got back in line with another cream, peanut butter egg, snickers egg for my sister, and the register said .01, but they OWED me (this is a GA store, I normally shop in AL) so I threw in a caramel (those are WONDEFRFUL!) and it was .33 oop. Out popped my $5ECB for Lumene.
I really do love that Vitamin C cream and that coupon lasts until the end of March, so I'm going to print some more and use it as a filler when I'm paying more oop than I like to...

It looks good. How about adding in the CVS Vitamin D that is faecb for this month? That way they can see there are more ways to save than just the weekly flyer. Are there any RIB coupons out there that can be incorporated to make this a moneymaker?

Does anyone know what the ACT limit is? The flyer says one, but my receipt says the limit is not reached.

My store had 2 signs today: One said limit 0:rotfl: and the other said limit 2. The receipt said limit reached on the 2.

Stupid me already bought it :upsidedow Thanks for the suggestion though!

I think both the Aveeno and Maalox are monthlies though.

That's a good idea. Is the ACt monthly? It would be great to add in somewhere if it is.

I used the Lumene coupon yesterday for the 2.99 wipes and didn't have a problem. However, I went back today and tried the coupon with the vitamin C cream and it did not work. If you plan to try it, make sure you have a back up plan. I ended up paying oop for the cream, since I was trying to get my order to $25 to use my $5 off coupon.

That's so funny because it scanned twice for me today for that cream. My first store entered it, because she adjusted it down, but at my second store it scanned twice!

Since you are starting from scratch, why don't you just get another card and then do the Vitamin D deal? Maybe the Carnation breakfast too if you can find it. I think its legitimate for you to get another card because you can do it as a demonstration for the article.

I went to two stores with the lumene coupon today. First store I bought the wipes and 2 candy bars for $1. It beeped and she adjusted down to 3.99 and said "Now your items are free!" Second store I bought the wipes and milk and coupon ran through fine, paid $2.19 OOP.
I only need two more wipes until I get the ECBs. I'm a looong way off on earning the $7 ECB for Nestle products so I may give up :confused3

Aveno is a monthly. I think another card is a good idea here, legitamite and most people would be starting from scratch. I'd also talk up how they give the ECBS for prescriptions and quarterly spending ....
