CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 2/3/08-2/9/08

I have no idea about the gift cards, although I am assuming that it would not count. I don't have a coupon to read but I know you can't use them for several items.
Great idea about the gifts for the girls! The best gifts I got for my 18th birthday were useful ones, towels, etc.

I do sometimes split my order, to use a few of the ECB I'll be getting back and also because I don't want all my deodorants or all the children's aspirin usually rang together, makes the ECB too big. That is the usual reason for splitting. I don't usually use two coupons though, my stores don't like them at all!

I know you cannot buy gift cards with ECB's but I am not sure about if purchasing them would count towards your triple bucks.

I do several smaller transactions. Usually my transactions are around $20. I will sometimes go up to $30 if I have a coupon for a free product, etc. that brings up the total without bringing up my OOP.

I rarely stand at the checkout with a basket full of stuff and ask to do it in separate transactions. My clerks are all grumpy, so I don't push the issue. I have 4 stores near me that I pass by on different occasions (like, one by DD's boyfriend's house, one on my way to work, one by work, etc.) So I will do one transaction at each store, if I need to do more than one. I rarely have OOP totals more than $2 (and usually less than $1) doing it this way.

I usually only do one order at a time. Most cashiers (and other customers) tend to get testy if you are standing there with multiple orders. Personally, I have been getting alot of the $10 off $50 CRTs lately so I have had bigger orders. There is a 24 hr CVS near me so I like to go ther on Saturday or Sunday nights to do my bigger orders (DH doesn't like it when I go there because the cashier is always flirty with me :lmao: )

I also wanted to give everyone a heads up on the Precision monitor deal this month. It is a monthly deal for the monitor for $19.99 and $19.99 back in ECBs. Well, there are coupons out there for $9.99 off making it $10 (A profit right there of $9.99 plus another $4 if you use the $4/$20 email q.) I found my $9.99 coupons at The Coupon Clipeprs. I found in 3 different stores boxes of these that also had a $2 off coupon on top as well as a rebate! The rebate is for $20 plus another $40 if you send in another barnad of monitor! There is no expiration date on the rebate :cool1: I'll be sending in one of the monitors from a previous deal and hopefully getting $60 back :cool1:

When I purchased it I also purchased a Boost Smoothie to put my total over the $20 mark to use the $4/$20q. After q's, I used $5 in ECBs and paid less than $1 in cash. I earned $20.99 back in ECBs. Great way to make some ECB profit!!!

Ok, I feel like a dummy, I don't see where this monitor is on the list on post 1. Is this in the monthly book at the store?

The Precision Xtra monitor is a monthly deal (limit 1) Here are the pics for the booklet from HCW http://docs.google.com/View?docid=dccpgn8g_21dpq93mpb&pli=1

I had no problems with the ECBs printing out for this at either of the 2 stroes I purchased it at. This is one deal I am seriously considering getting a new card for!

I'm a little slow at times...are you getting these because they are a "money maker" when you use the $4/20 coupon? just want to make sure there is not another Q out there I don't know about.

They are a big money maker because there is a $9.99 manufacturers q as well as the $4/$20 CVS q. So just with those 2 q's you have a "profit" of $13.99. Then potentially throw in the rebate and it is a really great deal!!!

I went to coupon clippers and couldn't find the cx I saw one for strips but not the monitor is that the one?

Cool thanks! I think this wins the best freebie award! Has anyone had issues using the $4 off of $20 coupons without the barcodes? I am going to CVS today for the first time this week, I really hope they have this monitor and rebate :)

My daughter is doing the Disney College Program and I started a box for her in the Spring of last year (she started in the Fall) and threw stuff in it from CVS and wherever - it really helped her out. I think next year she is going to go to UcF so I am going to keep up the box for then....anything (and everything) helps to make college cheaper.

Thanks liz
I am thinking of FASA in my sleep but this is a great idea and a big help.

Where do you find the mfg's Q?

On the gift cards - they don't count towards the quarterly rewards, my daughter bought several before Christmas. She had used the triple rewards coupon and her quarterly reward was 50 cents.

The $/$$ coupons say: Excludes prescriptions, alcohol, tobacco, lottery, postage stamps, gift cards, money orders, and pre-paid debit cards.

Edit: The only place I know to make money on gift cards is Walgreens, and that's when they do the $20 rebate when you buy 3 American Express cards. If you buy 3 $25, the fee (which is the rebate) is less for the $25 ones, so if you do the $20 rebate on a Walgreen's gift card with 10% bonus, you make about $7.

Thanks liz

That FAFSA thing is just plain scary and it will probably only cause you headaches and not net you much in the way of financial help - but you gotta do it -- so to counteract that I have become "creative" in my way of making college "cheaper." We should start a whole separate thread on that!

Oh my that makes my head swim -- I am going to have to figure that out.

Back to CVS - has anyone had any luck with the razors - I went in yesterday because I was almost certain the ad said Thursday at noon (and I don't have an ad handy) and the woman told me they weren't available til the 10th (which would be the next ad anyway so I dont know why it would have been in this ad anyway)

Over at Walgreens they weren't sure if they had come in because they were behind on getting stock out -- I hope I have better luck today on those!

Our truck got stuck in Chicago so they won't have the razors until today, but I found them Wed. at Walgreens.

Ok well I am in Central Illinois and I sort of suspected since I haven't seen the razor anywhere we might have had a weather delay too.

I live within walking distance and I hoped the sidewalks would be clear enough to put the baby (I babysit) in the stroller and hit the two stores. But they are not - and its just too much of a hassle with the huge baby carrier and going in and out of the two stores so I will wait til 4.
