CVS ECB Deals ~ Sales for Week 2/15-2/21

I finished the deal on DH's card today and got Vanilla Coke and Dr. Pepper. D

What is the rule with extra care coupons from the machine w/ mfg coupons? I bought 2 Triaminic products and had 2 mfg coupons, $3 each. I also had a extra care coupon from the machine for $3 off any 2 triaminic/theraflu, but they said I had to use one or the other, not both.

No. You can use one manufacturer's coupon and one CVS coupon per item.

If you call customer service, they will tell you that you can use a mfg. coupon and a CVS coupon per item within the limits of the coupon wording (such as "on 2"), so the store was wrong, you were right.

Just a reminder on Stayfree..

If you got a CRT for $2, it's a money maker or free after $2 ECB (prices are $3.49-3.99 depending on location).

If you have the BOGO coupon, it's a money maker or free after ECB.

If you don't have the CRT or the BOGO, you can still get a package for 49-99 cents after ECB with the $1 coupon at stayfree.com

If you don't use these products, but have coupon or CRT, they are very welcome donations at shelters.

Also, it's a good filler for those with $/$$ CVS coupons.

Thanks for the reminder! I've got quite a stash of toothpaste/mouthwash to donate, plus a ton of Disney soap & little shampoos for Operation Christmas Child......

Thank you for confirming! Thats what I thought. If I call 1-800 will they credit me the coupon. What do you do at a store when this happens and they stand their incorrect ground?

You can call customer service right there while in line.

Or call for a manager if its not the manager giving you a hard time.

Is this a weekly or a monthly deal? Somehow I missed it. Does anyone know what the limit is? Thank you for this reminder as I would of lost out!

It's monthly on the 14-24 count, and includes Carefree, but no great coupons for those ($1 off 2 in 1-4-09 Red Plum - same insert that the BOGO was in).

Limit of 5.

Ditto what Maggie said. Customer service won't credit you, but if the store insists, then you can call CS again and they'll get a letter from CVS Corp. and the district manager will come down on them. Individual stores can limit amounts of coupons used, such as getting 10 products and using 10 coupons, and they can deny IPs by individual store, but they can't deny you using a mfg. and a CVS coupon on the same item. They get chewed out because CVS has found a money-making niche in mfg. coupon redemption and they get volume sales discounts and kickbacks from mfgs. when giving CRTs and ECBs on products, they want to be known as coupon friendly. Whenever this happens, it's rogue (lol) employees and managers who don't understand what their company is about.

Kycha- the Reading paper was still on the list to receive the Red Plum inserts. It looked like the Lancaster papers were too (don't know which one you get). Don't know how long that will last, but it looks like we are safe for now.
Thanks puffkin! I saw that. Hopefully, it will stay that way for a long, long time. I get both Lancaster and Reading papers. DH likes to get up super early on Sunday morning(6am:scared1: ) and he has to get his coffee and his newspaper. So, he gets the Reading. Then, after the Dollar Tree opens up around 10am, he gets the Lancaster papers.
Klineyqueen- Did you see about the stabbing at the Rt. 183 CVS? Apparently a regular customer came in and stabbed one of the pharmacy techs. She asked to use the bathroom, then came out and stabbed her for some reason. That CVS is in the nicest area, it is so weird.
That is crazy! Is the pharmacy tech okay?

Thanks for the reminder! I already have a huge tub full of stuff ready to donate. Plus, Kmart is doing their double coupon event next week. I'm sure to get a lot more stuff to add to my donation.

ETA:Oh, and I finally found the 10 ct CVS cotton round travel pack that someone else reported worked for the $2 nailcare ecb. They had a ton of them in the clearance section...marked 50% off(49 cents). So, I'm assuming they won't work for the ecb deal. I'm having a hard time finding the 25 ct cotton round packs. I may just scrape the clearance price tag off and pay full price for those suckers. It would be a moneymaker if I use the $2 off $10 cvs crt.

All KMarts? Or is it a regional event?
What did the 10ct look like? Usually our clearance sections is 1 endcap.

I need to find 9 more of the 25-ct rounds - is it a monthly deal?

I'd walk down the street right now but it's rather chilly out...

That's very interesting about their corporate coupon strategy, LanaJae. I'm glad that they've figured out a way to make money from coupons, like we make "money" from them.

Does your store over-ride the price or just enter an amount under taxable or non-taxable? I'm thinking if they over-ride, you would still get the ECB for every 2, I'd chance it for 98 cents.

I wish I could find the site where I read about it, it was a really good article. It was all the reimbursement for the 8 cent handling fee per coupon.

****
Smiller - it's monthly so don't go out and freeze!

Unfortunately, they just enter clearance under taxable/untaxable. :sad1:

It's not all Kmarts. Only 1/3. But it is nationwide. None of my local Kmarts are participating, but the one in the next county over is. Next weeks ads are up on kmart.com. Check to see if your store is participating! The event is from 2/22-2/28. The following restrictions apply:

-Manufacturer Coupons up to and including $2

-Does not include Kmart store coupons

-Does not include Kmart Pharmacy Store Coupons

-Does not include Internet coupons or copies of manufacturer coupons

-Limit 25 total coupons per customer per day

And if you are interested, there is a $5 off $50 ip coupon out there. They take the $5 off before manu coupons. I will post it if you want.

Here are the 10 ct cotton rds. The 10 ct cotton squares travel pack are also being reported as working for the nailcare ecb deal. I also found them on clearance today(49 cents). But, I don't have any of those to post.

There are at least 2 stores with scanners in Lancaster County. And they were both installed in the last 6 months. I hope they are making their way around the state. Because PA is sorely lacking in the scanner department. Here are the PA stores that have been reported to have a scanner:

-1181 FREEDOM ROAD, CRANBERRY, PA 16066
-Carlisle St., Hanover, PA
-5703 STEUBENVILLE PIKE, MCKEES ROCKS, PA 15136
-CVS Lawrence Park in Broomall PA 2507 W Chester Pike, Broomall, PA 19008
-CVS in Havertown of Eagle Road 41 W Eagle Rd, Havertown, PA
-#5604 335 Lancaster Ave, Frazer, PA 19355
-Somerset, PA
-S. Main St, Wilkes-Barre, PA
-#5721 440 N. Reading Rd, Ephrata, PA
-#1667 1052 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA
-#7184 7720 Bustleton Ave, Phila, PA
-Main Street, Dickson City, PA
-118 W. Main Street, North East, PA 16428

Those are the only PA stores I can find. Pretty pathetic list.
Thanks for the info. Sadly, I don't ever go to those CVS stores.
Yeah, I regularly shop 7 CVS in Berks County and we are pretty much scanner-less.

There is a CVS on Rt. 183 in Leesport that has a blue scanner (for price checking) but not a red coupon scanner.

They just opened up a new CVS about 6 months ago on Rt. 222 in Blandon/Maidencreek. That is the only store in the area that has a coupon scanner. It is kind of out of my way though, so I only get there about once a week to scan my cards.
I may have to have my husband help me find that store....

I am thrilled about the Reading Paper still getting the insert...yippee. I will have to check the Pottsville paper, that is the one we get delivered.

As for the stabbing. I missed that...that is HORRIBLE! Do you know what day it happened? I have gotten scrips filled there for my kids several times. My ped's office is in Wyomissing so we just swing in there on the way home. I can't believe it. You are right about it being a nice area...but sadly there are wacko's everywhere.

Thanks for the picture! I'm going to look for them just for the travel container.
