CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 12/28-1/3

Hey LanaJae, i bought one shampoo and one conditioner, both on sale for $2, but didn't get the $2 ECB. Did i need to buy 2 of just one kind to get the ecb, or should i have rec'd the ecb even with one of each? I thought it would have printed either way...??

I knew i was doing really well with my other items, and even the pantene since i had the $3 off 2 (2 huge 24.8 bottles for $1 isn't bad!:) and was in a hurry so didn't check my receipt until later.
TIA!

It doesn't matter if you get a combination of shampoo/conditioner or stylers, but if you got the big bottles, ECBs won't print. The weekly ECB deal is for the 12.6 oz. (regular size) of shampoo/conditioner and the styling products. The texterize is the only kind I've found on clearance in the regular size, and they should either be $1.25 each or $2.50 each.

If you don't use Patene, I'd take them back - that's good to know about the big bottles being on clearance - must be 75% off for them.

I'm guessing my stores don't have it yet, as I can't find it. What aisle did you find it on? I've checked the pedialyte area in the baby aisle, the childrens cold/cough area and the regular med aisle. The cashiers don't even know where to look! LOL

At my store, they were in the aisle that has children's tylenol, etc., and were next to children's Airbourne. The box isn't very wide and my store only had grape flavor, the box was purple I think.

i have yet to hit cvs this new year! perhaps tomorrow - hopefully there will be some monthlies in stock!

As a side note, i just opened one of the EOB robes from a year ago that i think was clearanced for 1.99 - we i love it - its so so soft! glad since i have two out for the holidays! I really hope they mark the robes down again!

CVS is supposed to go nationwide 75% off holiday on Sunday. This is the first they've let holiday clearance go this long.

Even when it goes 75% off there is not much I found very interesting.

The CVS magazines you saw are the Reinventing Beauty(RIB) magazine that are well sought after. I'm not sure which issue you have in your store. If you are going to purchase it, check that the coupons are not expired. They are notorious for having old issues out. I just read on another forum that someone recently found the issue with Rachel Ray on the cover...that issue is from this past summer. Anyway, there will be a pullout in the middle of the magazine, and sometimes another one glued to the front of the mag. I think the latest issue has Kate Hudson on the cover. Here are the coupons from that issue. I think the listerine q can be used next week. I don't have the exact details though.

$2/any U Smile Tooth Whitening purchase [[ex. 03/31/09]]
$2/any 24.7 beauty purchase [[ex. 03/31/09]]
$1/any Vickery & Clarke purchase [[ex. 03/31/09]]
$1/any CVS/pharmacy brand skin care purchase [[ex. 03/31/09]]
$3/any two Sally Hansen nail color or nail treatment [[ex. 03/31/09]]
$2/any one tube StaphAseptic First Aid Antiseptic Gel (2 oz.) [[ex. 03/31/09]]
$1/any CVS/pharmacy brand defining skin care purchase [[ex. 03/31/09]]
$3/any Listerine Whitening Pen [[ex. 03/31/09]]
$1/any Clearasil StayClear product [[ex. 03/31/09]]
$2/any Clearasil Ultra product [[ex. 03/31/09]]
$2/any Skin Effects purchase [[ex. 03/31/09]]
$2/Conair Ionic Ceramic Styler or 3/4" Ceramic Straightener [[ex. 12/31/08]]

Have any of you found this yet? If not, here's a heads up:

I just found a free CVS coupon folder (for lack of a better word) sitting on a shelf in the make-up department.

Its a 4 page, card-stock folder type flyer with several coupons, all expire on March 31, 2009.

Coupons include:

$2 off U SMILE tooth whitening
$2 off any 24.7 beauty
$1 off Vickery & Clarke
$1 off any DVS skin care purchase
$3 off Sally Hansen
$2 off StaphAseptic
$1 off any defining skin care purchase
$3 off Listerine Whitening Pen
$2.50 off CONAIR ionic ceramic styler or straightener
$1 off StayClear Product (Clearasil)
$2 off Ultra product (Clearasil)
$2 off any Skin Effects purchase

If anyone finds a creative way to use these, please post!

HTH.

At one of my stores I found these folders in Nov. When I went back to find more the cashier told me when the a new RIB magazine comes out they rip out all the coupons from the old ones for whoever wants them.

I guess first come first served.

The big bottles aren't on clerance here. The tags on the items are saying 75% off now, and there were a few other ones as well, a detangling/conditiong spray and a couple other things....

I got 2 mousse at $1.25 and I had a $1 coupon..... My ECBs printed fine

Anybody buy any smart rinse today and get an ECB? I bought some already and got a manual ECB but I'd love to go get some more before the sale price ends tonight....

Yes I went and got some today and the ECB's printed out fine..

Went to CVS today..

heres what I got..

5 smart Rinses ($3.99 each)
2 bottles Pantene ($2/7)
2 Colgate Toothpastes ($2.99 each)
2 Nasogels ($7.99 each)

Total $48.91
- 5/$25 coupon
- $3 Pantene coupon
- $16 ECB's

Paid $15.98 with Flex spending card on the Nasogels

Paid $8.93 out of my pocket, but I did get a total of $36.98 in ECB's back    so I didnt mind spending the $8.93 today..

Im just now starting back at this so I am putting a little back into it here and there to get me going back on my ECB's...

Thanks everyone for all the tips.. I told DH that I was getting back into this since my stockpile has been depleted for quite some time.. I want to save money where I can and theres no reason to be paying for this stuff out of my pocket..

it was with the children's cold/cough/allergy area. It was on the bottom corner of the shelf though. Very hard to see.

Here are my two from today (2 stores)

#1
2 pantene mousse $1.25
2 Nasogel $7.99

Used the $3/15, a $1 off pantene styling rooduct and 2 of the $2 off Nasogel, and a $9.98 ecb total oop $0.83 I got a $2 ecb for the pantene and a $15.98 ECB

#2 (I had forgotten about the 5/25 and ran out of the throat cooler coupons

2 pantene texterize conditioners $2.50
2 agent blues $3.99
2 smart rinse $3.99
2 throat coolers $4.99

Used $5/25, the b1g1 throat cooler ($4.99) and 2 $2 ecb & the $15.98 ecb I got earlier Total oop $1.45.... Got the $4.99 ecb for the throat cooler, a $2 ecb for pantene, and $12.00 for the smart rinse....

Not too bad, though I was mad at myself at the first store, I thought I had printed the 5/25 and the throat cooler. I'm pretty sure I had a smart rinse coupon, but couldn't find it.... I did need the mousse & conditioner, so not a big deal and the kids use the smart rinse/agent blue and I didn't mind paying $1 for them

The girl checking me out was the one that did it for me the very first time I cvsed in November, she said "Wow, you're getting good at this!!"

I was expecting a big box, they are tiny!!! I don't see how it holds 6. I only found grape flavor in the stores I looked at. Mine was in that area at both stores

I went nuts again tonight to get the Glucerna and some of the clearanced Pantene.

I also talked to the one really nice manager at the store I usually shop at and asked about the Christmas toilet paper and he said it was a glitch. I was hoping nobody here got it and I'd be the only one. I can only hope for another glitch this year!

I am new here so what are ECB's? Are they coupons and how does it work? I would love to learn how to save more. Can someone help me out and teach me the ropes of CVS? Thanks:)

Welcome!!!

I am horrible at explaining this....but someone will be around soon to explain it to you.

Just be warned...it's addicting...lol.

Does anyone know whether the boxes that are free come in all the flavors? I found some tonight, and they were in a display box that pretty clearly was made for three flavors. They had berry, strawberry and pineapple mango. I'd like to get a variety and I also want to split the ECBs on this item, so I only got two. These are going to go quickly, though, so I want to move fast!

I think my family thinks I'm losing it since I came home with two more tubes of toothpaste tonight AND another bag of pantry stuff I got free or nearly so with my grocery store's weekend triple coupon promotion. They'll be very thankful when the great toothpaste shortage comes!:rotfl:

ECBs are sort of like instant rebates that are store coupons. For example, this week you buy a bottle of Fructis shampoo for $2.99 and get $2 back. You can spend that $2 on almost anything in the store. The key to getting everything free at CVS is to use coupons and ECBs together. There are lots of $1 Fructis coupons around, and I think there's supposed to be one in tomorrow's paper.

CVS sometimes offers items that are totally free. For example, the Soy Joy bars are $6 a pack and you get back $6 in ECBs, which you might use to buy another one until you reach the limit of 5.

Sometimes you can make $ on items. For example, Colgate total was $2.99 last week with $2 back in ECBs, but there's a $1.50 coupon floating around.

Look carefully at the DIS threads, iheartcvs.com and the store ad. Make sure to know the limits, buy the right size, etc. It's fun. I think of it as a little hobby that also saves my family $.

Our CVS only had the same three flavors. Those are the three flavors our stores typically carry, except for the occasional raisin flavored one. DS4 loves them, but I think he'd love the chocolate pb flavor itoo, f they ever carried them.

WHat is the deal on these? Is there a coupon?
Thanks!
