Cvs deals 4/5-4/11

I got 15/75. And $1 off absolutely divine cookies, one for cvs facial tissue, one for $1 off smart rinse, a aveeno sunscreen one, a kleenex one, and a couple others.

I have two of the $40 converter coupons I may try to work into this, and a bunch of the excedrin coupons. I also have some huggies I can use on wipes... I got one of the 15/75 on my card & my sister's. I also thought about using it towards the Itunes gift cards... I could do 3 $25 I tunes, for $60 then get the $10 (or is it $5?) ECB.... Or maybe work it into the converter boxes...

Why not buy the $15 iTunes gift cards? The deal is $10 off 3 cards. Just wondering:confused3:)

Do gift cards count on the $/$$ coupons? If they do, then the $15/$75 isn't bad at all! Let us know if anyone tries that!

Good luck! :thumbsup2 I didn't get the $10/20 cosmetics crt today. Disappointing! :sad2:

Has anyone tried the 2/$1 coupon on Pringles? I read on another board that it won't work on that size can.

LanaJae, The totes were all marked $4.99 when I checked at Arcade/Maryland store this afternoon. They must've marked down just a few last night. Maybe more later in the week or next weekend.

The pringles worked great for me! I actually used the 20/100 coupon, and it worked great! I wasn't sure I had enough, but somehow, he used it before the sale prices were on there, and I had a big total. I got a ton of stuff for easter, some of the photo boxes, 8 excedrin ( I have 2 computers to print from) 3 vitamin waters ( free with coupon from paper this week) some fingernail clippers (bogo 50% off) a vitality toothbrush, the coke deal, toothpaste, and a few other things. They were out of the baskets and shave gel, oh well... my oop was 4.38, I used $35 ecb and got $9 back. My cashier high fived me at the end and said "you did good girl!" I am totally going back when he is there.... he was great!:thumbsup2

I've actually revised my plan

$45 - 3 $15 Itunes GC
$13.93 - 7 Excedrin
$10.00 - 2 $5 huggies wipe refills
$10.47 - 3 $3.49 Huggies wipes

Total $79.40 -$15/75, -$14 (excedrin) - $10 IP Huggies, - $9 IP Huggies

= $31.40 Get $10 Itunes ECB & $10 Huggies ECB (I already have $10 towards this) So that's a net of $10!!! I actually have some ECBs, but don't think I can use them for this

I might even be able to take one of the wipes (not refills) off Bringing it to $30.91 plus tax

Do you think this will work? If my sister comes over I may be able to print a couple more Excedins off, but if I keep the wipes in I'll hit the $25 to get to the $25 Baby care items.

Sorry to ask a few newbie q's. I'm sure you get tired of them, but you girls are the experts!

I understand what you mean by 15/75 or 20/100, but what is the scanner that you get them from?

Also, could someone give me a list of what the manufacturer coupon abbreviations mean, such as SS.

I made my first CVS trip tonight. I spent about $35 out of pocket, which I know is high, but I did the diaper deal and I didn't have any initial ECBs to start with. I used the ECBs from the diaper deal toward a second transaction, so at least I figured that part out. I saved a total of $43, so I'm happy with that! I got the free with ECB shave cream and the free Excedrin with MFQ. Thanks, Puffkin, for your article this weekend. It got me started!

Couple of quick questions- I have the BOGO Schick coupon but where can I find the $4 off Schick one? I'd definately get in on that deal! Also, how often can I print coupons at the scanner in-store and does it replace what you get at the register?
I have no printer and was too late to get to the library for the
Excederin coupons so I'll do that when I find the $4 Schick coupon.

Here is what I got-
Skintimates $3.49 (My store was out so I asked for a raincheck and the lady told me they just got a truck so she found me some. :thumbsup2)
(2) Bamboo Easter Baskets $3.98
(2) Easter Grass $1.58 (the ECB's did not print even though I bought the bunny packages so I had to have them manually printed- got $2 for that)
(2) CVS Brand Bar Soap 2pk (compare to Dove Sensitive) $3 (sale)
Herbal Essences 2in1 $2.99 (sale)
Olay Total Effects 7in1 Face Wash $6 (sale)
(3) Always $8.97
Cover Girl Eyeshadow $4.99
Cover Girl Concealer $7.49
Cover Girl Powder $8.49

Coupons used- $4/1 Cover Girl, $1/1 Cover Girl, $1/2 Always and $10/$50CRT
ECB used $8.50

OOP cost $28.96 after tax and got back $18.47 ECB.

I'm happy considering I didn't buy anything that I wouldn't need in the next week anyway and saved a ton. Now to hunt down those Excederin and $4 Schick coupons too see what else I can come up with.

I forgot to add... my CVS had everything on sale in stock, even the Easter baskets. I was kind of surprised about this. I was worried that getting there on Monday night wouldn't be early enough.

I saw the totes last night and Mahtomedi had a bunch too. I sure would like one of those $10/20 cosmetics too. Were you able to get any baskets/grass or the Skintimate?

The long awaited article. They did some really nice graphics in the print edition! It is more about general couponing than CVS, but it is fairly accurate.

Great article Kelly! I didn't expect to see your picture on the front page! That was great! I have cut out your top ten list to pass on to family and friends. It's a shame they couldn't go into more detail on how you got such a low oop. But if there is a good enough response, maybe they will do a follow up. Congrats on a job well done!

So, I had a pretty good CVS day. I'm a little bummed because I wasn't able to get the easter grass or baskets. What makes it even worse is I was in the store yesterday and they had both in stock. But I forgot my coupons. So, I left. Was in around 3 this afternoon to pick up DH's prescription. And they still had some in stock. But DH gets too impatient, so I left knowing I would be back in a couple of hours. Got back at 6pm and the grass and baskets were gone. Of course, they probably just moved them. But, I couldn't find them anywhere and it really wasn't worth a hassle to ask for them.

Anyway, I got a $25 gc for DH's new script and I managed to use the $15/$75 CRT I got yesterday and to grow my ecb's at the same time.:banana:It helped that I had a bunch of rainchecks and coupons to combine with them. So here is my breakdown...

13.00 Covergirl Simply Ageless
7.00 Covergirl Lash Blast Luxe Mascara
3.49 Skintimate shave gel
2.99 Colgate Max Fresh
9.99 Accucheck Aviva
7.98 Softsoap Refills x 2
15.96 Schick Intuition x 4(Raincheck from July 08)
7.99 Physicians Formula Mascara(Raincheck from 08)
7.47 Thermacare Neck Wrap 1 ct x 3 (Raincheck from Dec 08)

75.87 subtotal
-15.00 off 75.00
- 4.00 off Covergirl Simply Ageless
- 1.00 off Covergirl product
- 1.00 off Colgate
- 4.00 off Softsoap($2 q's x 2)
-15.96 off Schick Intuition($4 q's x 4)
- 3.00 off Thermacare($1 q's x 3)

31.91 subtotal
-28.99 ecbs

$2.92 total oop!!

ecbs received
$10 Covergirl
$3.49 Skintimate
$2 Colgate
$9.99 Accucheck Aviva
$8 Physicians Formula mascara
$4 Softsoap
$8 Thermacare

$45.48 ecbs!! for a grand total of $13.03 overage. I wish I had that $10/$20 cosmetic CRT. I would have really raked in!

I have another $15/$75 CRT to use on my other card. But I only have around $12 of ecb's with that one and no more rainchecks left:sad1:. So, unless I can figure out a really, really good deal. I'll probably just pass on that one.

I saw the totes last night and Mahtomedi had a bunch too. I sure would like one of those $10/20 cosmetics too. Were you able to get any baskets/grass or the Skintimate?

I made brief visits to Maplewood, Arcade/Maryland, and W. St. Paul yesterday! The clearance items were basically all gone or not marked down yet or just junky stuff left. I was able to get grass, Excedrin, and the last Skintimates at Maplewood but no baskets. I was able to get the last basket on the shelf in W. St. Paul and had a nice visit with the new mgr. (asst. mgr.?) there. She was telling me how she missed the Skintimates freebie when placing her order and had not ordered enough so now she feared for her life. ;) I said, "Well, there's always a raincheck." She said, "It just isn't the same for some customers. They want it right now." :scared: She was joking but seemed a bit concerned about displeasing her cardholders. The scanner spit out eight CRT's for me including $15/75 but I just can't figure out a deal worth putting together for that amount.

I accidentally used an expired CRT for Excedrin at Maplewood and it beeped, but the cashier forced it through. I didn't even notice it had expired but he said that it expired on March 16 and that's why it beeped. Did you say you can use expired mfg. coupons but not expired CRT or CVS coupons or does it depend on the cashier/store?

I am so jealous of everyone with a scanner!! All I got today was $1 off cottenelle wipes and $1 fruitopia on my CRT.

Can you get the 15/75 or 20/100 from the CRT or only from a scanner?

Did you keep scanning your card until it says "no more coupons"? You may want to try that. Sometimes I get the $X/$Z coupons on the second or third scan.

Has anyone tried the 2/$1 coupon on Pringles? I read on another board that it won't work on that size can.

I used 2 of the coupons for 4 cans of Pringles with no issues on Sunday.

Awe, I am glad my article helped! Watch out though, it gets addicting!

The scanners are red boxes (usually right inside the door) that you can scan your card for and it prints out coupons. They also do price checks. If you are in the Reading area, we don't have any scanners except for the new store in Blandon (Rt. 222). I try to get out there once a week, but it is a bummer not having any other scanners nearby!

Some abbreviations for the various inserts that come in the papers-
SS- Smart Source
RP- Red Plum
PG- Proctor & Gamble
IP- Internet Printable
CRT- Cash Register Tape (print on bottom of receipt or from a scanner)

Haha, thanks. I wasn't expecting a giant picture of my head on the front page :scared1: I went to Giant late on Sunday night and it was so weird walking by the rack of papers and seeing my head!

I sent the reporter a quick note letting her know I thought she did a good job. She wrote back and said that with the new format of the paper she couldn't do as extensive of an article as she hoped. She said that I can expect to hear back from them :rotfl2: However, with their new press, the graphics turned out really great.

It must depend on the store, I haven't tried for a long time so maybe some are taking them now. Glad you were still able to find some of the sale things! I imagine that 90% went really fast.

Great job on the article Puffkin! You covered so many great points, I'm sure it will help alot of people! (I just hope they all go to RiteAid, not CVS.....LOL keeps the crowds down and stuff in stock for me ;)

I still have not made it to CVS this week and its killing me! I've had to work a bunch and the kids are out of school this week. Hopefully today or tonight I'll make it around. Luckily I have a bunch of baskets & grass from after Easter target sales last year, so I wasn't too crushed missing that deal!

Happy Savings everybody!

So I made my first trip and I think I will have this figured out soon. I'll be driving my wife nuts in 2 weeks.

I had a $25 GC for having them fill a prescription.

I paid 3.49 cash for the skintimate and got the 3.49ECB.

Then on a seperate transaction, I bought the diapers, wipes, and pullups. I used 3 coupons I had for $4 plus the 3.49 ECB, so I got everything down to just over $17 and they gave me $10 ECBs. I just signed up for the Caregivers, so I will be getting even more back. Now I have $10ECB for next week, or i might go get the 3 itunes cards for $45 use my 10 ECBs on them and get another 10 ECBs for buying the GCs. I hope that it will work.

I don't think that you can use ECB or $x/y coupons on gift cards but I'm not an CVS expert so I'll wait to see what they have to say.
