Cvs 7/12-7/19

This seems like a GREAT week...Can't wait till Sunday morning - i'm heading out early!

I have a bunch of good crt's to use including 1.00 off glade and its on sale this week for .99c!

I still had it so they are in the mail. I found a great benefiber coupon that I didn't know I had - $5 off 2, hope you can use that on a second card. Also sending two $3/2 and $1.50/1 Maalox.

My mom says thanks LanaJae! You're the best :cool1:

Oh thanks, I have that too and didn't notice the sale!

No problem, I will watch for benefiber coupons in the future if you're not getting them in your papers. The good one must have come from my mom's insert as I don't ever remember seeing it.

Yup, I noticed the Glade one too. Yeah. I also have the $2.50 on $10 pain reliever CRT to use for the Tylenol deal, so with 3 $1 coupons and that it is a nice little money maker! Yeah.

That usually means if you're using Firefox, you should use Internet Explorer or vise versa - each has different links, I don't know which browswer that was for as I copied it from another site

I used to get this message when I would use firefox. If you look in the url, there is a 2 letter code about halfway through

I'll bold it here:
http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=qgkudxb40371108&bt= vg &o=54115&c=RC&p=2ltfMTkd

vg is for Firefox
vi is for Internet explorer

If it says opposite of what your browser needs, just change it to the correct code and hit enter. You should then be able to print without trouble.

I am heading out to CVS in the morning. :)

Does anyone need any Fusion coupons? I forgot I had some and ordered more from a clipping service. I will have WAY more than I need and would be happy to share.

Just PM me if you need some. :)

I didn't get to CVS until 9:30 this morning. I was only able to get 1 glue, 1 ruler and 1 scissors. My store had everything behind the counter. I spent a lot of time wandering around looking for the items or I might have been able to get the limit.

So I got:
2 notebooks
3 packs of pens
1 ruler
1 scissors
1 glue

I also got the Tylenol arthritis with my $2 coupon, so $1 MM.

We also needed paper towels, so I picked up the Scott towels that are $5.49.

I will go back later to get the Pepsi.

I'm in need of some face cleanser. Anyone have a good idea on the Olay deal or is there some better deal somewhere? I'm willing to spend a few ECB (i.e. it doesn't have to be free) because I am in need. I sure miss the day of the free Garnier face scrub.

I'm headed to Walgreens later to get the .39 mechanical pencils. I need to stock up. My DD draws and goes through these like water!!!

Had a great run today, lots of fun. I took my one friend to introduce her to CVSing and she was a bit confused, but had a lot of fun too!

I did:
All the school supplies (had plenty in stock so hit my limits on all)
3 Tylenol (had $2 arthritis coupons a $2.50/$10 pain reliever CRT so big moneymaker!)
Gain (had $1 coupon)
Glade (had $1 CRT)
Fusion (had $3 coupon)
1 Photobook

I did the deals on both cards so I broke even since I bought the detergent! Not a bad haul for nothing :cool1:

Plan on going back later this week for the Benefiber deal (waiting on coupons in the mail) and to do a few more photobooks. I read the limit was 5 photobooks! My friend had a blast and got a ton of stuff for $12 and she started the day with only a $4/$20 coupon. She was thrilled!

Would someone who has done the photobook give a brief description of what they did? I've done photobooks at home, never in a store. I was wondering if it would be worth it, since it takes me a while to get it to look the way I want when I do it at home. Time and frustration at an unfamiliar machine might throw me over the edge.

Thanks

If you go to the i heart cvs . com site and click on the 07/12/09 deals where it says View Full Post Here under the pic of the Tylenol deal. It will take you to the page with all the deals for this week, scroll down and there is a video on how to do the photobooks.

Just a reminder for everyone to check out the free samples on the WalMart site. Today they had not only a sample of Carefree Ultra pantiliners but a $1 printable coupon....I printed 2 of the coupons. :thumbsup2

There was also a Bodycology lotion sample, Goodnights and viva paper towel

I did a run for the school supplies this morning. Everything was in stock and out on the shelves. :thumbsup2 I wanted to get a Fusion, but they were out so I"ll hit another store later this week.

I was also wondering like a PP if anyone has any good deals worked out for the Olay. I have a bunch of coupons for various items. I was wondering if I can turn them into anything.

I'm still deciding if I'm going to do the photobook. It's such a pain in the neck and we didn't go on vacation yet, so I don't know what to put into one.

LOL, my 400th post is on the CVS thread. My husband will be proud! (He just doesn't get it!)

First off, I have to start by thanking you posters! About a year ago while planning for our first ever Disney vacation I came across the budget board and was intrigued by the CVS thread. I read up on it and I started CVS'ing and I've been doing it ever since! So, I owe you guys a ton of thanks!

I went into CVS this afternoon after church and they were wiped clean of everything except the tylenol and rulers. So, I got rainchecks for all the others, but I couldn't believe everything was gone already! I guess they weren't prepared very well for this week.:sad2:

I got all the school freebies, but NOTHING was marked. I also got the tylenol on both crads, and goodnights x 2 (Thanks Pam for those coupons!) w? Goodnights CRTS.

I went yesterday and did dawn and gain on both cards as well. I have to plan a bit better to be less oop.

I WANT to do the photobooks, but with all 3 kids home don't see it happening. I'm hoping they get out of them so I can get rainchecks.

Photo book limit is 5.

If you want to make these quickly just to roll extra bucks, this is what I do:

  • Select 16-20 photos and put them on separate memory cards/CDs for each book.
  • Go to the machine and select "photo book," then "6x8 photo book," then "print in minutes" (if your machine has this option). DO NOT select any other option other than print instantly/in minutes.
  • Select a background.
  • Select "all" pictures, then deselect one for the cover page (some machines ask you to select the cover page first).
  • Let the machine put the pictures in order.
  • Review your book and then select number of photo books to print. You can select 5 of the same if you want*.
  • Allow the pages to print, make sure they are in order from page 1-10.
  • Hand photos to a cashier, who will put them in the book**.

*If you print 5 of the same, you can ask for them to be rung up one at a time and you can use the $7.99 earned from each to pay for the next. This should make each transaction, except the first, "$0" owed.

Other tips:

  • If you want to spent time and make each one nice with text, you should rename your photos on your memory card or CD in numerical order at home so they appear in that order when loaded into the machine. This is much faster to do at home.
  • Each book can hold approx. 52 pictures. This size book look nicer with 1-3 pictures per page. The cover page is always 1 picture, so you have 9 left that can have multiples.
  • If you add text, count on spending approx. 30+ minutes per book as the text has to be touch-screen typed, then sized, then positioned, etc. It is a long process.

**If the cashier does not know how to assemble these, but can find the supplies, this is how it's done:

  • A semi-transparent sheet is placed on the top and the bottom of the stack of photos, with sticky strips on the outside on the left edge (for the binding).
  • Packet of photos with the semi-transparent sheets should be stapled twice on the left edge. There is a special stapler and a heavy card-stock holder for stapling in the right spot, but it can be done with a regular table stapler and no holder if the cashier can't find that.
  • Remove the bottom sticky strip and place the packet of pictures in the hard-cover book, pushing it all the way to the end, then press down.
  • While book is laying flat, remove the sticky strip from the from the top of the packet, while the hard cover is up, and then press the hard cover down.

There is a white (assembly required) folder for the photo book, these are in a supply box from Kodak that has hard covers and transparent sheets altogether. This has the UPC on it and the cashier needs that in order to ring up the photo book. If it isn't rung up with this UPC, the extra bucks will not print.
