Cutting in line..

Well....since I never said anything of the kind...I guess I don't think I'm someone who has any comment on anyone's issues. Thanks for the question.

(Reading comprehension. Look into it.)

Yup! Sorry

Joining the rest of your family in line IS line cutting. If you were not in line to begin with and have to push past others to meet up with your family, you are cutting in front of those people who you just pushed past. How is that not cutting them?

Right on!

As I read this thread, all I can think of is "get a life!" :lmao: I can't believe people get so upset over people joining the queue. :confused3 To read so many posts how people physically block someone from getting past in absurd. If someone tried to stop me, I would absolutely get a CM involved who would more than likely allow me through since I'm joining my family. :sad2: I might be in the minority but I'm on vacation, I don't care what other people do. I'm there for a good time, not to act as though I'm a CM and enforce "rules" that the actual CM's don't!

And as I read this thread I think why cant people learn to stand in line like they learned in K, and why cant they learn to use the potty they get in line before like my parents always said before long car trips:idea:

And where all these CMs to get "involved" from either side of the argument. I dont see these CMs in the middle of the lines:confused3

Is say most people do use the rr before embarking on and adventure. But as they say "stuff happens." If daddy has waited for 45 minutes in line to rude pp with his daughter for the first time and gets hit with a stomach issue, if never want him not to catch back up and ride with her. Only a crabby nasty person would want less so they didn't have scoot over for two seconds.

But there is no rule against it so it doesn't matter what you think

Of course there are rules against it. Disney's expectation is that your entire party enter all queues at the entrance, and all at the same time. Ask any manager or Guest Relations. Line cutting is most definitely forbidden. If that's not enough for you, common courtesy and respect for others should tell you that it's not ok to do anything else.

Now, whether Disney enforces these rules is another story.

Honestly I have the answer to the question why people can't wait in lines. I just got a note from my DS's 3rd grade teacher. It seems DS created a problem b/c 2 kids wanted to cut the line in front of him. DS told them to get to the back of the line, the 2 kids said no. The teacher asked me why my son gets so upset about "little things that shouldn't bother him":confused3
Yup 2 kids cut the line and mine is the trouble maker for pointing it out:confused:
Entitlement starts pretty young.

Sick of it.

How do you know there is no rule against it? They don't have signs up stating that I can't drive my car down Main Street, but I am smart enough to know it is against the rules without a sign.

This is one of those common sense things. And as this thread proves common sense is not so common anymore. Done away with by the You First Right After Me crowd.

The only time I experienced "line cutting" where I could clearly see it happening was the backlot tour. It was a group of 5 or 6 pushing through to meet the rest of their party further ahead. It was hot, I was cranky, and I really let it bother me. After awhile I thought I can't believe I let some people I will never see again bug me so much.

I'm on vacation. In real life and on breaks I just don't care what other people do. I don't need to waste time or energy on it. It's up to Disney to enforce whatever policies they have and if someone sees fit to report what they deem a violation of a policy to a cm then so be it but that's not how I want to spend my vacation.

Dad would still get to ride, he would just have to ride after the bathroom visit. They can get back in line. This has always worked for us.

I get that stuff happens, I have stomach issues myself, but I can tell you right now that if the stuff happening is enough to make me have to leave the line right away, I probably wont be wanting to get back in line for a ride right away.

Guess I am crabby nasty person bc I see no reason if it is that important for Dad to ride with kiddo, that they wouldnt all exit the ride, let dad take care of business without rushing and then hit the ride later. Like I said how is this fair to the Dad who doesnt have someone else to leave kiddo with. That Dad doesnt get the luxury of having a line holder!

I also have never seen a bathroom line be that quick that Dad could get all through the que, hit the potty and then make his way back in before the family gets much closer to the actual ride.

Welcome to the fantastic world of men's rooms.

Until a cm tells me or I see a sign there is no rule that I know of.

Why would you confront someone? Are you in charge of the line? Since there is no rule saying you can't meet your family in line, there is no reason for you to open your mouth.

Maybe I'm not in charge of the line, but I AM in charge of the space I'm standing in. If I choose not to yield it to someone else when they ask me to let them by, why should they (or you) get all upset about it?

After all, it's just a ride, right? We'll ALL get to ride eventually, right? Five minutes before me, or a minute or two behind me, it's all the same, right?

:drinking1 Kungaloosh, y'all!

Yes but your example is of the extreme. The likelyhood of everyone in the line minding a spot for another person is pretty much never going to happen. If one or two people "join" the line, your wait is almost identical to what you thought it would be. The most 1-2 people will add to your wait time is 30 seconds - 1 minute :confused3 Is that so terrible?

I don't think my opinion is extreme. I have seen many groups of people that were never in the line cut in front of us to join (not rejoin) the placeholders. big families,.groups of teen s, tour groups.

if you have an ADR, you minght not have an extra 10-15 minutes. if you have a Fp for another ride, time is now definitely important. those few minutes may make a big difference, as that CM wil not allow you to use your FP a few minutes late (even when you explain that people cut in line in front of you).

also, for shows, it could mean a whole 'nother wait till the next show (as was mentioned in an above post for the wand show over at "the dark side".

whatever the reason, it is my opinion that it is cutting and it not ethical. I never said I get upset, "in an uproar", or anything. for families, I let them pass anyway, but I don't have to like it. tour groups? no way. they are KNOWN for line cutting.

Entitlement.

time to drink!!!! :yay:

If it was forbidden it would be enforced.
