Cutting bacon...with a fork?

Ugh! American bacon is dreadful, overcooked and inedible.

I really like panchetta, more salty yum! But I like my bacon cooked crisp, not burnt. I will eat bacon with a fork if it is cut that way in foods. If whole I will eat it with my fingers and use a napkin to wipe my hands. I hate seeing people lick their fingers and make noise to boot…
