Has anyone had t-shirts made for your entire group? We would like something with Mickey, Halloween and our Grand gathering name printed on the back. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good company that we could use?

TIA

My DD (13) got online and designed a mickey mouse club style design with BIG FAMILY VACATION 2005 on it. I just called some local screen printers and the least expensive were $6 each so we ordered 2 each. I don't know yet how they will come out they'll be ready Tuesday.

I have not used the company, but want to get some custom Disney t-shirts designed for our next trip. We received the notification of this place in our Disney VISA bill several months ago. It is www.zazzle.com.

www.radiodisney.com has custom-izable shirts. I just went online to see them the other day after hearing about it on the radio. They aren't cheap, but hopefully good quality. And it seems like they have a TON of characters to choose from.

Make them...

It's sooo easy! Go to your local office supply store (We have Staples in Canada) and buy transfer (iron-on) paper. I let my kids all pick which characters they wanted on their shirts (clipart found online), did their name in Wordart, flipped the desigh (HAVE TO FLIP FIRST) or else it will print backwards and hit print! I also made tags that go along the back of our shirts that say..

___LAST NAME__ Making Magical Memories
April 2005

The kids each picked their style of t-shirt (one tank, one cap sleeve, Daddy has ribbed cuffs, etc) and we bought all white so we match and are cool under that Florida sun!

If you need more instructions, PM me and I could email you the large clipart I have. :flower:

I got PM'd a couple times on this one, so instead of sending you all email attachments I searched out the website, took me awhile but I found it.....

http://www.magicalears.com/clipart/

The site has clipart that is detailed enough that when you enlarge to T-shirt size doesn't distort! So find the images you want, right click and save to a file.

I used Microsoft Publisher and I added the image and then using Word Art I added the child's name under the picture. The most important tip is you MUST FLIP the image so it appears backward when you print it on the transfer paper.

There is 2 types of transfer paper available - when you go to the store check that you purchase the right one - one is for dark colored shirts and the other for light colored ones. The transfer (iron-on) paper cost me $20.00 canadian for 20 sheets. I bought shirts at Old Navy but I have since seen plain kids shirts at WalMart for $4.00.

All you have to do is iron on your image - it takes 3 minutes!

For the back of the shirts I wrote my "slogan" horizonally across the paper so it would cover the back - the paper only goes standard size but if you adjust the margins you can get the entire 11 inches wide which appears good enough to me!

im not sure if t-shirt are a good idea for my family! if we got them my kids would them in a jersey form. disney on the front and there name on there back! idea...?

thanks to all of you for the great info, this will be a bi hit on our next vacation and cruise
thanks again for sharing this

We got some really great tye dye shirts from http://www.color-tone.com

We are going to get a logo screen printed on them. We bought 25 shirts ( 5 days, 5 people) so we were able to get the wholesale pricing - about $4/shirt. Even if you were not going to screen print them, they are really cute :)

I made our own for the family. When we were down there I saw a couple of families with matching shirts and asked if they had made them too. Answers: they paid around $30 each through the disney store. They were beautiful, but personally, I liked our the best. We each matched every day of the vacation with bright colors (Yellow was the BEST) that were easy to spot in the crowd if we got separated. We got several comments from CM's who loved our shirts because they were unique. My 4 year old son just loved it when the characters pointed out our shirts. If you are creative you can do it yourself.

The Tshirts at color-tone.com are Hanes Heavyweight 100% cotton. They run pretty much to size. I washed them all once in cold water - which is what you should wash tye dyes in anyway. I did not notice them shrinking any. We are excited! We have the shirts in orange tye dye, lime green tye dye, pastel colors tye dye, sunrise tye dye (red, orange, yellow), and a blue/green tye dye.

We checked on getting them screen printed here in town: For something on the back and a small left chest thing, it runs about 4.00 a shirt. So, all together, we are paying around $8 a shirt for matching, fun, family shirts. For anyone interested, here is a link to what we are putting on the shirts (in white lettering).

This is actually the front small thing, the back is the same, but bigger, and without the circle outline.

boy! this has helped!! thanks for the replies!

Now...about the iron ons. Is there a brand better than another at office supply? I worry about the iron on not washing well.

The brand I used was Click-n-Craft. They have 2 kinds... "I" and "II". One is for dark colored fabrics, the other for light or dark. I THINK I used "II". Bought it at Joann Fabrics etc. I washed our shirts first. Then, you use a regular inkjet printer. No need to reverse the image. It seems strange, but you keep ink side UP when you iron.

The shirts have held up nicely. I wash our bright yellow shirts in cold with other brights, but I've washed some grey shirts in warm and they are fine too.

Good luck. :) Mamma

I love www.zazzle.com they are the best places to design your disney tees. but beware its about 20-25 dollars to buy 1 shirt and its best to design them like a month b4 u go to make sure u get them in time.
