Um, yeah, so I checked my email about 15 minutes ago and found a.....facebook request from ex whom I haven't heard from - not a SINGLE word, letter, phone call, etc - in 4 years. Is he F*********ing serious??? I feel like I'm going to throw up.

Yikes! Hard call...I'd be wondering what he wanted and at the same time I wouldn't want to open up the lines of communication after all this time. I don't blame you for feeling sick over it. My ex has that ability too that sends me into a tailspin. Of all the ways to contact you though, that is really an odd choice.

It has been a month since this board had a bump so I thought I would give it one.

Well there is sort of an update. As I told you before my ex left the state. His child support was raised to 220.00 a month and he is now 4K behind. They did take his federal taxes (I am very surprised he even filed). So I am getting 400.00. I was hoping that he had a job but I guess 400.00 is better than nothing.

I've had some updates as well on the CS front. My ex I guess lost his job, because all of a sudden I am getting regular bi-weekly payments that show as being garnished from unemployment. While the amount is a little less than he is supposed to pay, at least its coming regularly...so in a way him being out of a job almost is better because his employer wouldn't send payments until they racked up for a month or two, so you never knew if you could count on the money.

I'm anticipating that I'll see some kind of payment from my ex's income tax, but who knows. He may have adjusted his withholding so that he wasn't due much of anything back or maybe even had to pay. I'm just happy that it looks like the payments will be coming steadily at least for a little while. With college payments now its a killer.

My CSE case is going on 3 years in may and my dd11 is in need of braces. Has anyone received a modifiation for the cost on braces?

Also does anyone know how they come up with the amount for back child support payments? I was ordered over $17,000 in back support and only get $15 a week for Back support. i receive $95 for reg. support so 110.00 total per week. I have never received any tax return money.

I wish I could give you a formula that they use. My ex is still 30K in arrears and pays $28 a week extra on the arrears. I figure I'll be on social security or even dead before its paid off.

I believe they have to be behind again before they go after him. I know the state of Florida has gone after his tax refund and even taken money out of his checking account, but then he stops paying me child support ALL of the time.
