Currently at the grand opening of wwohp

They anticipated overflow crowds, but not how fast they would arrive. I think they arrived 2-3 hours before they were prepared for it.

Wow, those lines are CRAZY!! I can't imagine being stuck out in the hot, sticky Florida heat w/ all those people. You know it's gotta smell really nice right about now in that cluster. :rolleyes1

To me, I don't stand in lines that posts waits over 60 minutes, period. The longest I've ever stood in line was 70 minutes at Kali River Rapids that I thought was crazy. I was outraged! :lmao

Ha! I'd be outraged, too, if I waited that long for KRR.

My poor friend. This is her first visit to Universal. She just texted me "What were we thinking? Too crowded. Going swimming." They still have a Universal day tomorrow, then they're off to Disney. Hopefully it's not so crazy tomorrow.

We have been here since 7:45am and are right outside River Adventure. When we arrived a TM estimated we would get in around 2.

Local Orlando news is reporting 5,000 people waiting to enter IOA. Universal is saying they have exceeded capacity by 7,000 people.

I'm really pleased for Universal! :thumbsup2 This is just phenomenal, I've never seen crowds like that for a new attraction before. I predict that opening times over the next few weeks are going to HAVE to be extended to cope with this kind of demand.

Wow!:scared1:

Twitter: Don't fret Wizarding friends, Forbidden is back up & running! #wwohp 80min standby, 20min singles

Now's the time to ride all of the other rides because everyone is in the HP line.;) Ride them over and over without a wait, I bet. Now that's what I'd do.

No way, I'd wait in line that long--I'd have to pee too bad and then if I did get on FJ then the ride would have to be shut down because the seats would be wet:lmao:

But how do you even get to ride anything else? there doesn't appear to be separate entry to other portions or am i missing.

Where are people even parking? I know the parking garage is huge, but I can't imagine Universal ever anticipated crowds this huge at the parks. These pictures absolutly amaze me! I'm excited about seeing the new land, but I'm glad my trip is in Decemer...plenty of time for the furor to die down...i hope ;)

Some pics we took from this morning:

Hulk inside the park, the line for wwohp went further back than this.

Closed the front gate around 8:45 to start pulsing crowds.

Line around 7:15, snaked between Marvel and Toon Lagoon.

Someone we saw in robes in toon lagoon across from Ripsaw Falls. -- I love the cartoon saying behind this photo in context.

This is where the line was when we arrived around 6:40-45. This is where the wall of people begins and where they started doing the single file line.

HUGE ADVICE for anyone coming to Wizarding World #wwohp this month: be in line by 6am or it's own fault if you don't get in. Seriously.
