When we were there for the soft opening, the line for hotel guests was all the way over on the left. There was no signage, I asked at the Guest Services Window.
The first time we went in, it was a mess. There was only 1 person trying to check room keys and scan tickets. People were everywhere, folks were trying to squeeze past this person who shouldn't have been.
They were also asking to see room keys at certain checkpoints as well. No room key you couldn't go further in. My DH and DS had handed me their keys and I've got an injured foot so they got way ahead of DD and I and were stopped at a checkpoint waiting for DD and I to catch up.
The 2nd day I went in alone and there were 4 people there checking room keys and scanning tickets. It was much smoother. They had the checkpoints on the way to HogsMeade on this day too.
I just don't see how anyone staying onsite is going to be able to get past the General Public crowds to get to the early opening turnstyles. It looks awful.
