I parked at the Meadow Trading Post and it looks like the entire sidewalk is now closed (it wasn’t 2 days ago).

I'm beginning to think that @GADisneyDad14 is right and those are the frames for the DVC cabins. I think I remember that there were going to be cabins on both the west and east side of the monstrosity main building.

You are right, Stormy.

Here are the plans I have from a long time ago, but still seem mostly true. The blue boxes are the water front cabins. The most disappointing part is there are 2 rows next to Crockett's.



And I think GADisneyDad may be correct that those could be the frames for the waterfront cabins. At first I thought these frames were too big for a cabin, but looking at the pic posted (and in my archives), these might actually be the cabins. All the pitch of the roof and the cross bracing aligns with the artist renderings.

The other thing I hadn't paid too much attention to is the waterfront cabins have 3 distinct shapes on the drawings.

There is a "C" shape (and backwards "C") along the water by Crockett's with the 2nd row a more pronounced "V" shape.



The cabins along the other side are a completely different shape. More of a notched box (and reversed notched box)



1, 2, and 3 bedroom versions, maybe? Time will tell what goes up. I suspect by the end of the Summer things will be more clear.

Jim, the D23 annual meeting will take place later this summer and that MIGHT be the time that Disney passes on a few details about the dvc eyesore behind Pioneer Hall.

Maybe they will-but maybe they won't. They still have points to sell in the FW Cabins, the Poly Tower, and prolly Riv (although I don't keep up with total points sold at these resorts). So they MIGHT hold off on an eyesore announcement to keep interest on the existing time shares.

Looks the same as every other frontier settlement in history has looked with a large resort building behind it
