Current work at the Fort

Wawa,

It says "user is out of bandwidth" when i try to view it.

Weird. I watched it yesterday morning. Wawa was standing on the ground near the Crockett's T corner (you could see the front rails facing the playground) and slowly panning to the right to see the view down along the side porch toward the eyesore.

I'll try again. I was on my phone in Wisconsin. I'm back home , but it is blocked on my work computer. I'll fire up my regular laptop and try that. I'm curious to see how it is different from November, when I was down.

Well, Jim, i cant see it today but i did yesterday. So something must have changed.

sorry about that, looks like the site hosting the photo went down.

Here’s one I just took now. I’m standing on the right side of Crockett’s Tavern, by the deck with rocking chairs.

This appears to be some sort of cosmetic roof structure they started working on. It’s being held up by two cranes.
Interesting if that is a roof structure to hide HVAC, elevator shafts, etc., that would imply the building is built to height. That would only make it 6 floors. Still a behemoth next to Crockett's, but better than the 8-10 I had been reading.

I'm just hoping that isn't some sort of roof structure for the waterfront cabins.

I know it may be too soon to tell, but does it appear that there will be some sort of barrier/hedge/fence/moat with alligators & sharks between that building and 'our' building (Crocketts/TE)?

I vote for the moat with gators & sharks.

PS That's an odd triangle structure. Although I'm not good at 'eyeballing for size' I daresay that's not the porte cochere for the main entrance lol.

That's actually a better guess than something for the roof. They may be at a point for something for a ground level entrance. A pic from just the right angle in a few days may tell.

I’ve posted a couple of times I thought it was only going to be 5 or 6 stories, but last time I was out there I definitely counted 7 in a couple places.

Looks like 7 right now, unless of course they continue going vertical. It’s hard to tell at the moment.

Wawa, have you been over by the Meadow Pool to see if anything has started yet in the field across the sidewalk from the tennis courts?
