I'm interested too. We are checking in Wed PM for our very first trip. I've been had to cancel two previous trips (CL, FP+, ADRs) because of a death in the family and a kid with strep throat. We really want to make the trip but don't want to spend the days in our hotel room looking at rain. Please advise!

I have two friends heading down this week on Wed and Thursday and I just saw this on News 13 in Orlando....Might make you feel better about your upcoming Disney trips!!

ORLANDO --

Here's what you need to know for Central Florida's weather for Tuesday and the week ahead:

· Drier air, hotter temperatures move into Central Florida

· Typical summertime pattern resumes Tuesday, with 40–50 percent chance of rain

· Tropical Storm Fred is no threat to the U.S.

Drier air will begin to infiltrate Central Florida today, lowering our rain chances compared to where they have been recently.

With more sunshine, hotter temperatures are in store: low-90s will be common throughout the interior with readings near 90 degrees at the coast. Partly sunny skies are forecast for most of the day until spotty afternoon storms develop. Coverage will be low, but the storms that develop could contain heavy rain. Anything that forms will fade after sunset.

Lows will remain mild tonight in the mid-70s. Expect few changes for the remainder of the week with highs each day in the low-90s. High pressure off to our east will keep a south to southeast flow in place, allowing sea breeze–type thunderstorms each afternoon.

There are no tropical systems showing signs of development close to Florida or the Lower 48. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Fred is located in the open waters northwest of the Cape Verde Islands. Fred is expected to weaken in the next 24 to 48 hours as it moves into cooler waters of the far eastern Atlantic Ocean.
