Current Time to Receive Disney Visa Reward Dollars

How long is it taking currently for you to receive Disney Visa Reward dollars? We are leaving for WDW on September 19, and I would like to clear out the reward dollars that will accrue after the August billing cycle ends. This would mean that the dollars would be available to me sometime between September 2 and 4. If I cash out, the certificates will expire at the end of 2004, and I don't know if I'll get back to WDW again before then. As a result, it may be risky to request them so soon before a trip, but I'd really like to maximize the reward dollars I have with me at WDW.

When I cashed out in July it took about 10 days from request until receipt, but I have read on this site that the certificates may now be backordered. For anyone who has requested reward dollars within the last month, how long did it take to receive them? It would also help if you stated the specific date on which you requested them and the date on which you received them so we can determine if there has been a slowdown in recent weeks. Hopefully, this could help everyone going to WDW determine whether they can expect to receive their certificates before leaving for their trip. Ideally, if people continually update this thread with the date of request and date of receipt, we can have a valuable resource that remains current. Thanks in advance for your help.

I ordered my reward dollars on 8/12 and received them 8/18

I ordered mine 8/23 and was told I would receive them no later than 9/12. When I called I told them when we were leaving (9/18) and asked if I would receive them in time.

I had my reward certficates within ten days of the phoned in request. (August 10th)

I called and got mine within 5 days or so. It was real quick, but just to be safe, as soon as you get your bill, call for them, check your balance first, to make sure you will have enough to make another $10 worth.

Howdy, I have had a similar experience. I was talking to the Customer Representative on the phone and she ordered them for me... I took only about 5 days! I ordered Disney Store certificates (cards) and bought a 5 day Child's Hopper pass at the Disney Store.

I ordered online and it took about 1 week to get. If you know about when your cycle ends, check online and order online instead of waiting to receive the monthly bill...might save 2-3 days wait time. Or call and find out when the cycle ends..just don't wait to get the bill in the mail.

I ordered mine on 8/16 - they shipped on 8/19. Happily received them on 8/21. Pretty neat packaging, too!

Based upon all of your helpful replies, I went ahead and ordered WDW certificates by phone on September 3. They arrived yesterday, September 8, in only 5 days!. Much faster than I expected, and plenty of time before we leave on September 20. Thanks again for the replies.
