CURRENT SSR BOAT ROUTE QUESTIONS

Good morning. We are going to be staying at SSR in a couple of months. We were able to get a preferred view 1 bedroom. We have only stayed here once before, so I have some questions regarding the current boat transportation. If we want to go to Port Orleans Resort from SSR, what is the boat route from SSR to get there and back?

Also, regarding taxi's or ride shares (we will not have a car)....can a lyft or taxi pick us up at our building or do we have to walk over to the Carriage House to get a ride share/cab?

We stayed at Congress Park (preferred view) at SSR a few months ago. The easiest way was for us to walk to The Marketplace boat dock at Disney Springs and take the boat to POR.

Thanks. How long is the walk to the marketplace dock in the Springs ?

We were in the closest building to the dock. No more than 3-4 minutes.

1. You have to go to DS first, then the boats to Port Orleans. At least that's the way it was in late September.
2. Lyft / Uber (cannot speak for mainstream taxi cabs) will come directly to your building. When you order them on your phone, you can specify the pick up location. They'll come anywhere on SSR property.

If you get a room in Congress Park, the quickest way would probably be to walk to DS and pick up the boat to Port Orleans from the Marketplace dock. If you get a room in the Springs section, you can still walk to DS and pick up the boat, but now you are closer to the SSR boat dock at the carriage house, so you could walk there and pick up the boat to DS. Once at DS, you can then pick up the boat to Port Orleans. There is not a boat directly from SSR to Port Orleans. You have to get yourself to DS to get the boat to Port Orleans.
