Current RSR strategy for EMH?

Hi all - I've looked and can't find a threat on the current Radiator Springs strategy for riding during EMH. Sorry if this is a repeat! It has been a few years since our last trip. Is it still best to go through the main gate for EMH? Where is the best spot to wait at rope drop if we want to ride RSR before getting FPs? Thanks!

Since they no longer walk the rope down, it is just a free for all. I really do not see an advantage of a location because people running or walking faster will get there first. I imagine the people in from the GCH will meet up with the main gate guests at about the same time.
FP's are not available during EMH, so do not waste your EMH time waiting in line (unless you do so the last 10 minutes).

Honestly it's crazy to just watch the group fighting to get to RSR, let alone be in it. We found that for EMH we had the best luck hitting TSMM and screamin, then if we felt the need to ride RSR do it after the crowds died down a bit but before the park opened. Those at the main gate did tend to beat the crowds from the GCH entrance though. What worked best for us was getting a FP as soon as the park opened (before regular guests entered), riding then grabbing another FP for night time later in the morning- we rode at least twice but never in the standby line.

Depends on how crowded it is. During Fall Dapper Days middle of the week we got 7:30 PM fastpasses at 2:30 in the afternoon. If you have a smartphone, add the Disney App. It has FP return times on it

They walked the rope down to RSR on Sat Nov 14- but this was not EMH morning.
