Hello Poly Experts,

Back in 2001, we stayed at the Poly for several days and rented a refridgerator for our room. We were quoted a price of $10/day, although they never charged us. . . . . not sure why but we were happy.

We were wondering what the going rate is for a daily refridgerator rental. Thanks for your feedback.

Thanks!

Hey, I'll be there then too!
I got a quote of $10 day for the fridge when I made my res. They also noted it on my confirmation but will not "Guarantee". It is payable directly to the Poly.

dreamalittledream,

What number did you call to try and reserve one? They may not guarantee it, but its worth a try.

Thanks!

P.S. Its DH, DS6 and myself along with my folks. I am planning to put a green ribbon on my straw hat. Look for us on the Poly beach:sunny:

I remeber when fridges were free just for the asking. No big deal, now what I do instead is fill the ice cooler and fill that up, drinks get colder. This wouldn't work for more then two pwoplw unless you buy a styrofom cooler when you get down there and viola, you have cold drinks. :D

We have requested a fridge at the Poly on our last 3 trips there. My hotel confirmation always says it is $10 and that it is guaranteed. The Poly is only one that ever puts guaranteed on the confirmation and I have no idea why. Every other resort I've stayed at says it is requested only. They also have never charged me for it! I don't need it for medical reasons so I think they guarantee it because I'm there for 10 or moredays at a time. They must figure they can always buy one for me to use as I am supposed to pay more then it's worth anyway. I just thought it strange that I'm never charged.

skiwee1,

Do you have the number to call or fax my request?

Thanks!

The past 3 times we have stayed at the Poly we have had a fridge in our room free of charge. We have never requested one. Once we even had 2 rooms and both rooms had a fridge in them.
Im sure its just coincidence, and not every room has one, but I find it odd that we are always given one. ;)

At $10.00 per day, a week would cost $70.00. You could buy your own fridge at that cost! Unless you need it for medicine, the rental fridge is not a good deal.

When we arrive in Orlando, we always stop at Walmart and pick up a foam cooler for under $5.00. Fill it with ice and it will keep your milk, soda and beer cool all day. We leave the empty cooler
by the trash can when we checkout.

You can just have it added to your reservation through CRO. That is what we always do. That number is 407-WDisney. I know it can get expensive. I stay for 10-12 days so that would be around $120 just for the rental. We tried the cooler route before and really couldn't stand filling it up with ice twice a day and then draining the water twice a day. You also had to worry about anything getting mushy or stuff leaking. Wasn't worth the hassle for us. It is one less thing to worry about and since we are on vacation that's good enough reason for me! :)
