Current Offer for new DVC

Hi folks. I have a friend who is starting to look into DVC. She has no points, so she'd be a new purchaser. We were wondering what Disney's current offer is. We know they are offering a free Disney vacation. What are the specifics for that? And are points discounted any now? Thanks for your help.

I called the other day and if I remember it right you can choose to pay $95 a pt for SSR and get developer pts. The # of developer pts you get are based on how many pts you buy. 150-210 is 100 developer pts. At 211 pts you get 160 developer pts. I don't know how it goes up from there.

The developer pts can be used right away and I believe they need to be used by December or you lose them. Not sure on the month of expiration though, it could be tied to the user year, I am not sure.

The other choice is to take $8.00 off the pt price so you would pay $87 a pt. and Disney will also pay your annual fee's until January 1st.

I was told the user years available when I called were December and September.

Curren APR through Disney if you finance I believe is 9.75%. But you can take something off that if you do an automatic debit from your bank account.
