The minimum for existing members is 25 points. If you want to finance, the minimum is 50 points. I'm not sure about any restrictions for Canadian buyers -- you should call your guide.

You must pay closing costs...in my situation I am purchasing 100 points. The closing cost was $277 for a single contract, and $342 for 2-50 point contracts which I opted for to be able to down size in the future if necessary.

Wow! Is that correct? Closing costs for my 50pt was $121. So it's cheaper to buy the small contracts separate? I'd think they charge less for 2-50pt contracts.

Does anyone know if they're requiring a down payment for financing for existing DVC members? Interesting on the %'s changing though.

We are going to buy 60, most likely. That's enough for us to stay there every other year. I'll borrow the year ahead and that will give us 6 nights in a studio with a few leftover. Then we still have our BCV contract for the other stays.

We bought 120pts at $145.00 a pt. we put down 20% 3800 & that included the closing costs. So excited going to book tomorrow!n

We bought 120 pts yesterday . Going to book tomorrow. So excited, have been waiting for this !! Have a appt to take the tour tomorrow at 5:30. Would like to get a couple days at Christmas!!!!

I bought 40 points, just enough to have a couple of nights in a studio once a year. We have enough points at AKL but I wanted this for shorter trips. I think I paid $121 in closing costs? My guide told me that they have a lot of contracts to run through so my points might not be deposited until Saturday.

He did say that they felt the bulk of buyers would be new owners, so they don't exactly expect to sell out anytime soon.

We bought 100 today :cool1:

total surprise move by my husband - he's been telling me all along we don't need any more points..LOL

In Canada, you can only add on (or buy-in) direct from Disney if you live in ON or BC (or AB, not 100% sure which western province). Laws in the other provinces / territories prevent you from doing so. HTH.

I think the minimum down payment for financing is 10%.

Hi
Do you anticipate anys trouble getting your vacations date reservations if you buy ??( I m thinking how even when you are members at BCV you might )
that is making me a little scare

I don't think that's right to have the point value so high. I mean how much different can the service be from say beach club villas or contemporary? I see greed here.
