During our last trip on this past Saturday we experienced our first ever Hiccup with our Magic Bands, which according to the Disney Cast Member that helped us, is an issue unique to Annual Passholders. This was our 8th trip using magic bands, since they were introduced at the Pop Century resort. When we attempted to enter Epcot on Saturday, both of our new Annual Passholder Magic Bands read "NO MEDIA FOUND" on the screen. We were they asked to attempt to enter using our annual pass cards instead. After we got in the park we headed over to the Nemo ride, and were able to use our Bands for our Fastpass redemption without a problem. And finally, after we had left the park to head over to the Swan and Dolphin for the awesome Live taping of the DisUnplugged, we encountered another problem when we attempted to re enter the park. According to the cast member at the gate, Disney is experiencing a bunch of trouble with Annual Passholder bands attaching to the ticket media in there system, which causes them to read "no media found". The senior cast member that assisted us quickly knew what to do, which included her accessing our account in her tablet, deactivating both our Passholder magic bands, and then reactivating them via her system. After that, it worked like a charm. Oh and I must say that the Passholder magic bands come in a cool exclusive box, with an exclusive band slider inside. Hope this info helps!

So strange, especially considering the AP MBs aren't any different than the typical MB. We will be at WDW this weekend, so I'm curious to see if the issue has been resolved overall. Regardless, I'm glad they were able to resolve your issues while you were there!!! :thumbsup2

I may have to wear my AP magic band on one wrist and my resort stay magic band on my other wrist. And my other two magic bands on each ankle.

When will they come out with magic headbands??

I think you should duct tape your AP card to your forehead in case the band doesn't work.

I have two sets of bands, should I use the ones we got from a resort stay or the AP ones?I assume resort stay ones until they figure this out.

They shouldn't matter at all since nothing is actually on the magic band - it's just a link to your account and person.

The cast member was telling me that for whatever reason, the annual Passholder tickets just aren't linking up. Just be sure to bring your hard ticket just incase. At one point when we attempted to enter epcot a 2nd time about 3 hours later, my wife's hard ticket was also not reading any media, which is really strange since we had used it atleast 30 times since last august. For anyone who is going to the parks in the next few weeks, please let us know if you get stuck with the same issue.

A headband is a great idea, I was actually thinking about using 12 of ours to make a fashionable "Magic Belt" for my pants

Head band and belt sound interesting, but would be a bit hard to use the mickey head scanners, wouldn't it? :rotfl2:
I seriously had a mental picture of someone leaning over to match up to the FP+ scanners, made me LOL.
