I was there in Sept, and there were some incentives , but all for AKL. I didn't want to take the tour with out my husband. We origionally planned on returning in Jan, and buying DVC for my 40th b-day. ( Not sure if we can get back unti lFeb now) There are pros and cons to staying at the different resorts/buying at the different resorts. I do know I will buy through Disney direct, and I do know that I want a 50 year property. I am asking for a link or discussion on the current offers or incentives for these properties. Can you help? I just got the DVC book, but it does not have any info on the Treehouses or BLT.

Also, we usually travel to Disney last week in January. Sometimes 3rd week of March. I dream of spending Christmaas there as well. Can someone help me with the choice of a use year? We usually go in Jan and March for my kids school breaks. Thanks!

Here is some information about BLT.

To date, no sales information has been released about SSR regarding the TreeHouse Villas.

AKV is still for sale at $104 with an $8 incentive. BLT sales begin for the general public on October 5 - minimum purchase is 160 points. Pricing is $112 per point with a $5 incentive discount available. No developer points are included for BLT sales.

Use yr, based upon when you said you travel, I would pick an August Use Yr...You would have to make a decision to "bank" your points by April 30th..That way if you had planned a vacation say in February or March and had to cancel outside the 30 days, you could still have the option of re-booking and using your points by July 31st of that yr or banking the points by April 30th...

We recently purchased AKV Kidani..
I studied the rules and regulations from the Dreams book and got as much info from this board before taking the tour....I questioned our telephone guide on many details before taking the actual tour.We did the tour and "sit down" in about an hour..didn't want to "waste" alot of vaca time on details...

Best of luck with your 40th birthday decision! :goodvibes :goodvibes

Banking must be done by end of 8th month of Use Year.

So March 31st is the Banking Deadline for August Use Year not April 30th.

If op plans to primarily travel in January & March and sometimes December:

September Use Year - up to April 30th to bank.

October Use Year - up to May 31st to bank.

December Use Year - up to July 31st to bank.

(there isn't a November Use Year )

December Use Year probably would be best if plans are to most likely travel from December to March because banking deadline is July 31st.

And if the reservation is cancelled 31 days or more before check-in date
(for example cancelling a reservation for March 24 2009 on February 21 2009)
that gives a little over 5 months to the banking deadline and in the event that the reservation is cancelled less than 31 days to check-in date they would still have until November 30 to utilize the points during the current Use Year.

Very sorry..8 months from Aug use yr would be March 30th...
You would have till March 30th to bank points.

Those banking date deadlines mighty important for optimal use of points!
Much too expensive to ever loose!

Sorry!:goodvibes

Don't be sorry :flower3: , heaven knows I have been off on things here :rolleyes2 too !!

I hate that the banking door gets slammed shut at end of 8th month :sad1: !!

Does anybody know when the incentives on BLT end?
I am interested in adding on there but feel it would be easier to speak to my guide directly when I go home at the end of November. I live in the UK and phoning with time differences etc is sometimes difficult
Or is there an address I can e-mail and get someone to e-mail me back with the info I need
Thanks
Joanne
