Current free dining offer expires May 18. What's next? (Looking for rumors!)

I had heard this one won't...but again, that was a rumor too.

Last year the late fall offer was not offered to Disney Visa holders first.

Just clled and very nice CM said FD will not be offered unitl first week of June. I asked her to see if I had a pin. I already knew I had a 10% off pin that I received 10 days ago after saving a booking online. CM at first said a new pin would not be sent until the 10% off pin expired.. But then she said let me see if there is one under your DH name. After she looked she said no FD pin now, but she really stressed that I should call back daily to check. Here's to hoping I call back tomorrow and FD pin will be there

I called and asked this morning too. (Twice.. yes, I'm a freak lol) Anyway, both times, the reply was "Hmm.. not yet"

I'm choosing to take that as "not yet, but it will be any time now"

So here's hoping!

I got a not "yet" too, hmmm. I wonder if they are told to answer this way so Disney can see who is really interested. Last year I got a ton of pin codes but was not going to Disney.

They're killing me. I'm anxious about the free dining, anxious because their system is acting weird and won't let me book garden grill for thanksgiving, and anxious because they've not started booking candlelight processional packages! LOL

I'm a bundle of nerves. Come on, free dining! (Or at least, a good promotion)

I know how you feel...if free dining comes out, I will upgrade to deluxe dining...but I don't want to make those extra ADRs and then get my hopes up for all that eating.

I am going in mid Sept and I missed the FD offer by 2 hours (Saturday 5/19, 2 AM). I have been planning this trip for about two weeks now and I did not realize that the FD offer expired on Friday. I am furious at myself.

I feel your pain. I do not book until June 1 but I am already worried that when I do get to book Epcot Restaurants will be holding back tables for CP Pkgs and last year the CP info was not released until 6/30 and booking did not open up until 7/26.

In all fairness, the rumor was "MONDAY OR TUESDAY". Technically, it was "May 21st or 22nd"

So, the rumor may still have legs

BTW, I see you have stayed at Carebbean Beach... how is it? That is where my family wants to stay!

for my DH and I, we were not totally impressed. The room was fine, the grounds were lovely, even the food court was fine; but the transportation was so horrible. The busses took forever no matter where we were coming or going. We waiting for an early bus for an early ADR. There were 3 or 4 other families at the bus stop and each of us were given different times that the busses should start running.

We are pretty calm, laid back people on vacation. We dont let too much bother us. But the transportation was so bad we decided we didnt want to go back there.

You will get other folks who say different. So dont just take one opinion.

If you have your own car, I would stay there. Other than transportation, we had no other issues.

I just got off the phone with Disney Reservations about a different issue with my pin code offers coming in the wrong name (they've combined the first name of my current husband with the last name of my ex - Weird!!!) and here's the conversation I had with the agent:

Me: So, I'm hearing rumors that there may be a free dining offer coming soon for fall bookings. Have you heard anything along those lines?

Agent: Yes, I have. I don't know anything specific, but you really should call next week.

Me: Well, I know in the past the fall free dining offer was given to Disney Visa holders first and then released to the general public, so I'm hoping that will happen again.

Agent: Yes, they have done that but I don't think they are this time. I think it's supposed to be a pin code for free dining. You really, really should call next week.

Me: Oh, you know I will, sunshine! (Ok, I didn't really say that, but I was thinking it)

I don't know how much this agent really knows, but that's what I've got! I'm hoping she's wrong about it being a pin code, though.

Oh, PLEASE let something happen soon.

Im hoping NEXT week means 2morrow lol I am having surgery and may be out of commission next week!Somehow I WILL make it on the DIS!

It's SOOO nice to have others who understand the obsession! Is it Monday YET? . Dh says we're not going unless we have FD, so I'm on pins and needles!
