Current free dining offer expires May 18. What's next? (Looking for rumors!)

Looks like all they did was extend the booking date --

Yeah, thats not there on that link and on the TA site, all free dining is off and I called just a minute ago to adjust a reservations and even the CM mentioned that free dining ended yesterday and no new offers out yet.

The date shows Free Dining bookings as being extended to September 15, 2012 on Disney.ca (Canada: English under International at the bottom of the special offer page) but not on the USA site.

I'm hoping that the fact they took down the offer so quickly is a good sign. Perhaps they're getting ready to post the next one? Wishful thinking...

On the wdw site now and it says BOOK BY JUNE 14. Ughh
Maybe the original book by September date was meant for the Fall Offer and posted in error Heres to hoping

I am finding NOTHING at all on any Disney site that says the free dining has been extended...not even a peep about free dining.

If the new offer is for Aut/Sept again, I'm sort of nervous about this. 2 scenarios:

1) People are put off by the cost of airfare and just not booking in the numbers Disney wants.

Or.........

2) People are holding off booking until the Nov/Dec deals come out so they can see the new FL stuff.

Since I'm in category 2........ I REALLY hope the correct answer is number 1!

I agree. I've had to come to terms with the fact that my "low crowd time" is likely to be a "high crowd time" if the new FL opens around that time. Once they announce an actual date beyond "holiday period" those following weeks will be slammed, regardless. I'm hoping to get there during a soft (Quiet) opening, haha!

I highly doubt though that Disney is going to release another Aug/Sept. free dining offer now that it is completely removed from the site. Would be odd to re-announce the same period instead of just extending the booking window. But with the new FL opening around "The Holidays" makes me wonder what kind of deal they will (or won't) offer.... sure hoping they do!!

It keeps getting put up with diff dates and then pulled down. Nothing there at the moment. I swear sometimes I feel like the people doing it are just messing with us planners knowing that we stalk the site

The Canadian Special offers are still saying book by Sept15th. Which is weird to be honest. Who is going to book on Sept 15th for that day? Usually you have to book a little bit sooner. Oh well.

If you want to see the Canadian offers go to the Special offers page. All the way down at the bottom on the left side will be a small area to change which country you want to see the offers for.

Yup now i have book buy Aug 11, 2012 for most stays between Aug 1 and Sept 28.

(which would actually work for us as we want to do Disney THEN our cruise, not the cruise THEN Disney)

I've refreshed about 5 times in the past 10 minutes and had three different pages for it... NONE, book by Sept 15, and Some August date.

I think the Dis had a bit too much Teppo Edo Saki this morning

Now, when they get their act together, it should say "Oct-Dec" Free Dining

the FD promo ended last Friday. It isn't up on the site anymore. The main focus now is the promo for the summer that ends mid June. Now I, like most of you, don't think the agents truly know when a promo is coming out until right before it happens. But, judging by the fact that my agent, if she just so happens to know, said to check back in a month, plus the fact that the only promo left for the public ends mid June, there HAS to be something announced within the next 30 days for fall/winter 2012. What do you all think?

I have to admit, mousesavers.com usually lists the Disney VISA cardholder discounts. I tend to see the discounts there before I look at my chase account. I will be checking my Disney VISA account Sunday night!!

Forgive my ignorance here, but how do you check your account? Do you do it on-line? Do you call? If it's on-line, do you have to register a user name/password or would it just show up on the first page? I've been a Disney VISA cardholder for YEARS and have never done this.... But I WANT to!
