Current free dining offer expires May 18. What's next? (Looking for rumors!)

Good question! I forgot all about that. I wonder if they will post something to the Disney Visa website over the weekend?

Last year the Disney Visa holders only got the Aug/Sept FD offer early. The Oct-Dec dates opened to everyone at the same time. This year Visa holders got the Aug/Sept offer early, and now Visa holders currently have a 15% off of AoA offer for select dates. I would be surprised if Visa holders get any more offers earlier than the GP the rest of the year.

I would also like to remind everyone that last year the Oct-Dec. dining offer didn't come out until Aug. 3. I would LOVE it if it came out next week, but I am being realistic and not getting my hopes up.

I think Disney might be on to the fact that people are still willing to come, they just need more time to plan and pay for it. By offering the deals earlier, it gives people that opportunity to fulfill both of those items.

Not to mention that being ahead of the curve allows for them to "lock" in people into coming. So in case another destination offered a good deal, families would already have Disney planned and booked.

liking these rumors. I have a pin for 30% of my deluxe at WL. Ifigured it out and it would be a few hundred dollars cheaper to get the FD. We loved the FD last year in September!

I have to admit, mousesavers.com usually lists the Disney VISA cardholder discounts. I tend to see the discounts there before I look at my chase account. I will be checking my Disney VISA account Sunday night!!

Hope the news I just received when calling to add on the dining plan isn't true. So I asked the receptionist if there will a promotion coming up for November in the next couple of days and she said she hasn't heard of any promotions for the fall/winter yet but check back in a month or so. They usually come out in the summer. Ugh. If she said "keep checking back" or just " We haven't heard anything" then I would still get my hopes up for this coming MOnday but the fact that she said "check back in a month" makes me feel that they really don't have anything set to be announced this coming Monday.

Just got off the phone with my travel agent. I called her this morning to put her on notice for Mon or Tues. She called Disney and then called me back to say that there will be no General Public offer next week. If Free Dining does start next week it will be random pin codes.

I'm a TA...and I can tell you that calling and asking will not get you any info. They would NEVER tell us, even if a deal is coming out. And usually most of the phone CM's don't know till that morning...or a day or 2 prior. I know many agencies get thre info on Dis, and watch the rumors. Usually someone will call first thing and find out and then it's posted on the boards like fire.

So, the booking for free dining in August/September ends in two days. Like many of you, I am headed down with my family in mid-October and hoping for either free dining or big room discounts.

Any good rumors out there? I am willing to accept any of the following:

1) Not-so-subtle hints dropped by CMs in Reservations
2) A "sure thing" suggested by a Disney bus driver
3) Completely unsubstantiated guesses

In short, I will take anything. Please, get my hopes up!

So hoping this is true but just don't want to get my hopes up. I agree that last year it didn't come out until Aug. but the other offer was later too, so that is hopeful. But... last year someone on here had specific info, it would be released Aug 3rd with EXACT dates and blackoutdates. Funny, enough the leaked info included my dates but when I called that morning it was blacked out, I was so disappointed only to find out a few hours in that the CM was wrong and the leak was right, my dates were included. I had called first thing in the morning before it was even released on the disney site. So sometimes the info on here is much more accurate than what the CM's know. Just hoping something solid comes out this weekend to make me a believer. O and I'm stalking these boards and it's not even MY trip, haha. Sis is going in Oct. and I'd love to get her FD. I'm not going until xmas so I know there will be nothing for me

I woke up and ran to the "special offer" page just in case they might have extended the dates for FD , but no such luck
