Current fads I'd like to see go away

Okaaay, I like film festival type movies... Donnie Darko, Requiem for a Dream, The House of Sand And Fog, Parents, The Castle, etc...most of these many of my friends have never heard of and DO NOT like...I can't help it!! I'm not a rock'm sock'm blockbuster type o gal at all. The most popular movies I sometimes like but, usually eh....not so much.

I get made a lot of fun of for this but OH WELL! Pass the pop corn...a good documentary is on called, "Born Into Brothels" about these Indian kids who learn to be photographers!

Why does my family think this is soooo weird!!??? Just because I'm not into the frat boy type o stuff they like to watch??

My DH and I went out to dinner tonight and noticed quite a few people with dressing issues, to put it nicely. First of all, let me say that my DH is normally nothing like me--would normally not notice anything about another person and would rarely point it out and would never snicker about how someone is dressed. I think that Dan would actually approve of my DH. Tonight even my DH was noticing people.

The lady next to us in the restaurant with the too short shirt and the pant that didn't go up high enough--I didn't really need to see the Grand Canyon.

The older lady on the other side wearing a very colorful print pair of pants with a very clashing pair of socks. The same lady had her napkin tucked into her shirt.

Another well endowed lady with a tube top on--nothing much was left to the imagination.

The highlight, though, was at the grocery store where an older lady was wearing a VERY tight pair of leggings. VERY tight. WAY too tight and it was too tight in a certain private area of her body (this was visible from the back, but I'm sure it was also the same from the front, but the cart was in the way, thank you God ) and I forgot the term for it. Something to do with a camel. Steph, are you reading?

We kept crossing paths with her and I thought my DH was going to lose it.

We saw some hideous fashio fauz pas while we are Six Flags Elitchs today.

I will say I like the big sunglasses on some, but this Boy had on very girlie HUGE sunglasses, I wanted to rip em off and tell him I'd pay for a decent pair.


Then at the Water park, so many bad swimsuits so little time to tell em all!!

The big thing I noticed how many goth dressed older people there were with their makeup troweled on and melting off in the almost 100 degrees. Blech

If it hasnt been said already the shaggy scruffy hair on guys, Gross.
And the sagging pants that was actually out of style about 5 years ago and some people still havent gotten the memo.

ok, number one thing though not really a fad, but just bothers me, MULLETS!
i really don't know, why they just do... they just don't look good on anyone, and if you have one you may be on my cousin tape of mullets

second... skirts that go right below the bum...arg i can't stand it!

third... heavy set girls wearing the tightest thing you can find.... ok i am over weight and i don't even want to see this...it is gross!

forth.... breast implants, it is not that hard to notice they are fake... and big breast aren't that great...take it from me



i go to high school, i see alot of this every day, ok maybe not mullets and breast implants, more like talk about implants... but it still grosses me out.

Ugh....Mullets Are the worst! One time when I went to get my hair cut....the lady gave me a mullet type cut. I don't know what she was thinkin' - I had asked for a layered cut - NOT a Mullet! I never went back to her. I had to go to someone else to get it fixed But it was So Bad that the other lady couldn't fix it right away.....I had to let it grow out some before it was completely fixed - I wore hats A lot during that time! Now, I'm Always paranoid when I go for a hair cut.

Yep, Mullets are Pretty Bad. I think it's safe to say that I will Never get a Mullet cut again....I'd rather shave my head!

The long shaggy hair on the preteen and teenage boys. I can't stand it!

Me too! I've been thinking of carrying scissors around with me and cutting eye holes for them. They simply look stupid.

LOL!! I had to bite my tongue about this yesterday...I so bad wanted to say that to this one boy who had a hardware store on his face. " Let me go get my new shower curtain and see how it would look hung on you!" LOL!!!!! And his girlfriend had a barbell type thing right through the top of her nose!! The little ball ends sat right in the corners of her eyes on each side :S :S :S okaaaaaay...now I'm out of the loop because clearly she felt this was attractive.

The mind reels as to how she got her septum pierced at the the very top like that.*shudder*
