Current Bounceback?

Were in the same boat. We have booked a FD bounce back for the last two weeks of August for the past few years. It's worked great. Then, our school district, just this year, decided they kids need to go back a week BEFORE Labor Day. It forced us to move and shorten this years trip due to the bounce back offers dates. Next years offer is starting even later and just really doesn't work as the kids go back to school 5 days after the offer starts. (If it does in fact start on the 20th date that has been spoken of).

This is the first year in quite some time I'm going to have to look for an offer outside of a bounce back. Stinks too as next year my wife and I are also celebrating our 25th wedding Anniversary. :goodvibes , and I was hoping for a good BB and a stay at the Poly or YC.
Same here! We booked our BB for BC last summer for this august and I had to cancel because of school starting. I'm here now at POR and I miss my late Aug BC. so much. I was hoping for a BB for next year but I think I'm here too early. Our schools in NJ start after Labor Day , but my DD is starting college in Pa. This year.

Ok, I just called the bouceback number listed on the "current" bounceback offer which is 407-939-1923. I asked what the current offer was. The CM started to tell me about the room discount offers which have been in effect at least since I was at POFQ in April. I then asked about a free dining offer for next year. Then he said oh, yes that is available too. Booking dates are August 1 to November 15, 2013 for stays from August 20 to Sept 29,2014. Values with QS, Mods with DDP. I didn't ask about deluxe so not sure. There may be exclusions too like LM rooms at AOA. I didn't ask. I specifically asked if he was sure that it started on August 20th since that is a Wednesday and seemed odd, and he said yes, that he didn't make the dates he just read the information off his sheet !

My friend, and fellow blogger, Dave is currently at WDW and just confirmed this is good to go.

So it looks like those staying after Nov 15 will have a different offer.

Okay so BB question. We are going to be there at the end of September. FD is not something that works for my family. If I book it anyway before we leave and then call the number again in November when the RO discount comes out can I switch to that?

I am sorry. Is there a FAQ list for BB offers? We will arrive at WDW August 25, 2013. We are thinking of booking the FD BB offer for August 20, 2014. Have a few questions.

(1) BB offers extend to guests staying at Value resorts also (not just Deluxe or Moderate?) ?
(2) Once we book, can we move the dates and keep the same offer, so long they are within the same time frame and WDW has availability?
(3) Once we book, can we add another room and get the same FD BB offer? Thinking FIL may want to join us also next year so will need another room, but it is not decided right now.

Thank you for your kind help.

I don't know how to quote, but here are answers to your questions at least my understanding from the conversations I had yesterday with two different CMs.
1. BB offers for FD include value resorts except for LM rooms at AOA which are excluded. Value resorts qualify for QS so if you want DDP you have to pay to upgrade. The upgrade fee is approximately $20 per adult and $3-4 per child, per day at this time.
2.I believe you can move dates as long as there is availability and you are still within the correct timeframe of the offer.
3. You have to book the rooms while you are at WDW. You can book more than one room, but each room has to have a reservation in the name of someone (adult) who is currently at WDW. So if your FIL is with you for this year's trip, he (or you with his name on the second room as the "lead person") can book his room for next year and then cancel if he decides not to go next year, but if he's not currently at WDW you can't book a room for him for next year.
Hope that helps :)

Thank you so much. This year, we have one room. Is it possible to reserve two rooms for next year using the two adult names who are staying in the one room this year?

(3) Once we book, can we add another room and get the same FD BB offer? No. At least I don't think so. I would book both rooms while at disney, and then cancel one later on if you don't need it. You can book two rooms under one name.

Hi there! Here's my question:

We will be arriving 11/14 and staying at CSR - 2 days to inquire about BB (will do it at checkin :thumbsup2). But what if it is nothing available at that specific resort (in sept. 2014)?

Can we inquire about the availability at other resorts? And if we can, who do we spoeak with / how is that done?

Thank you!! :goodvibes

You don't have to stay in the same resort. You can book at any resort as long as rooms are available.

You can book two rooms using the names of the two adults there this year, but then that second person has to be the "lead person" for that room next year when you check in. In other words, if say you and your husband each book a BB room, you would have to stay in one room and he would have to stay in the other. You can't change the name later. I asked this specifically because my adult daughter and I were going to make a trip to WDW this fall to get the BB for next August when I need two AOA family suites with FD for a planned trip with DS1, DIL and their 4 kids in one suite and me, DH, DD, and DS2 in anther suite. I was told that I could book two rooms using my name for one and my DD for the other, but she would have to be the "lead person" in that second suite next summer, which isn't how our trip is going to work. So my understanding from this CM (and sometimes they are wrong but she seemed pretty knowledgeable) is that if I want the family suite for next summer, either my DIL or my DS1 would have to be with me on this fall's trip to book the room. So confusing isn't it???:confused3

So aside from the lead person, the other guest names on the reservation could be changed as I understand it? In other words, all the guests except the lead person could be changed later?

Correct. When I do my BBs I just have my name on the reservation and add others later when I'm sure who is going.

Yes, that's my understanding from my conversation yesterday. I had asked that too because in our planned suite, which I want to book with me as "lead person", I am not sure how many others there will be because I don't know which of my children (all young adults) will actually be able to go. They surely don't know work schedules, vacation time, etc. a year ahead. So I'm hoping to book with me as "lead person" and then my DH, DS2, and DD1 and probably DD2. Then if I need to drop one or more of the kids out, the CM told me that wasn't a problem, as long as I am still in the room.

Thank you kaylasmom07, nydancemom and others. That helps. Would the following be allowed then? I book one BB room with FD for August 2014. DH books a second BB room with FD for August 2014. No need to specify the other persons to be staying in the two rooms just yet. If FIL can go with us August 2014, DH and I will check in for the two rooms. If FIL cannot go, I call WDW and cancel the second room under my DH's name. I still get BB with FD for the first room, and I can add my DH's name and our DS6's name to the first room. Thanks.

Exactly how it would work. :thumbsup2
