Current bounce back question.

I understand that if you book and pay deposit before checking out you can save up to 30% on deluxe resorts for specific dates. However, once you book it are you absolutely committed to those days, or can you change them as long as they are within the bounce back offer days? I did a search and checked Mousesavers.com but didn't find much info. Thanks in advance.

There are only so many bounce back offers per resort duirng that period, so if you try to change to a place where they are already gone or after the promotion is over you have to give up the promo and just book like it was acompletely new non-promo booking. I ran into that this year - had booked BC and then later decided to book Poly which was available but not with the promo....

We booked bounce back and since we didn't know our schedules, we picked a random week, just so we could get locked in with the offer. Weren't really sure if we would be going or not. Once we were home, we decided on a different week and were able to switch it.

If they have the offer available at the resort you choose, for that time frame, you can make changes. But, I heard the number of rooms at each resort were limited. Good Luck!

We booked the bounce back free dining in Sept for 08 and I wanted to make sure that we arrived the weekend of the triathlon, but they hadn't announced the date yet. So, she tried to check for me before we booked, but she couldn't because it wasn't set. lol. So, she checked to find out if we could move it if we needed to as long as it was with in the booking window, and they said it was ok!

Yes, as I understand it you must book and pay a deposit before you check out from your current stay. So if you were staying at the WL right now and were checking out tomorrow, you would have to book it and pay the deposit before you leave. Here's the info. from Mousesavers:

Using a special phone number provided on a flyer provided in some resort rooms, you can book a room for stays during selected 2007-2008 low season dates (in December, January, February, March, April, August and September), at a Walt Disney World resort and receive a discount of 20% off rack rates at Value resorts; 30% off rack rates at Moderate and Deluxe resorts; or 40% off rack rates at DVC/Deluxe Villa resorts.

The specific dates reported so far include:

Moderate resorts, 30% off most nights 12/9/07-12/15/07; 1/6/08-2/2/08; 2/24/08-3/1/08; 3/30/08-4/21/08; 8/10/08-9/27/08

Deluxe resorts, 30% off most nights 12/9/07-12/15/07; 1/6/08-2/2/08; 2/24/08-3/1/08; 3/30/08-4/21/08; 8/10/08-9/27/08

DVC/Deluxe Villa resorts, 40% off for most Sunday-Thursday nights 1/6/08-2/2/08; most nights 2/24/08-2/28/08; 3/30/08-4/21/08; 8/10/08-9/27/08

If you don't get the offer on a flyer in your room, I recommend asking at the front desk. I've also seen reports that the resort TV channel was showing this offer.

Reservation for 2008 must be made before you check out to qualify, and there are no exceptions made. A deposit of one night's room and tax is required at time of reservation.

Ya know, I'm not sure. I think what we're going to do is ask about it upon check in, I figure if anyone should know what to do the front desk will. If not I know you can call Disney res. right from your room, there's a button on the phone for it. I really haven't been able to find a great deal of info. on the promotion or the procedure, but I know you have to do it during your stay before you check out. I guess you could call central res. now and ask about it, don't know what kind of response you'll get though.

over the phone in your room. there is extension you need to call - BEFORE you check out.

I believe any resort is available. We stayed at Contemporary last week, made a bounce back reservation at Poly next August. When we got home, changed the week and hotel to Beach Club.

It was a great deal, especially since we were coming back in 2008 anyway. Saved around $800

Once you call they have to verify that you are currently staying at a disney resort. Once they verify, they will start the booking. I tried and had a not very good CM. After 45 minutes on the phone and the first 30 trying to convince the CM that I was indeed at the BWV using the phone from my room and she kept saying I was not at a disney resort. After she "found" me, she was not helpful with checking my dates, so I gave up and just couldn't bring myself to call again because I was so disgusted with them. It was a huge hassle for me and not worth my effort.

Just curious.....were you paying cash for your stay or through DVC? I book part of my ressie cash, the other part through DVC. Don't know if I'm eligible for this promo.
