Of course my mind is always spinning and after much time crunching points I've figured out we will have a nice amount of points to use at the 7 month window for next summers trip.

So....which would you want most and why? I need real advise and opinions because you guys are the experts!!! Of course nothing is guaranteed but it's nice to dream and get a waitlist maybe :wizard:!!!

We would need a 2 bedroom-

1. Boardwalk View - too noisy, or worth every point due to the walk to Epcot and view of YC/BC?

2. Lake View at BLT - we stayed standard view once and I LOVED it. Is the points for LV worth it? We'll have a stroller so walking to MK sounds great!

3. Wilderness Lodge - we have NEVER stayed there, but love visiting the resort. I'm not crazy about the decor in the villas, but the resort itself is beautiful. How's transportation to the parks from this resort?

4. Beach Club - Another place we've never stayed. Stormalong Bay looks fun, but it closes early right? We love to swim late at night and the quiet villas pool looks too quiet for my noisy bunch. Do you ever go over to BWV and swim there at night?

5. Kidani - My husband's most favorite resort. The pool is one my kids love and being there in June I'm sure we'd use it tons. The first part of our stay is at Jambo though. So I don't know if I'd want to split stay on the same property.

So..what would you do?

I have to go with Bay Lake, for us it's all about MK and we love to be able to walk and not take a bus or wait for the monorail.

I agree so much. The only issue is my husband didn't like it at all. Isn't that nuts? I'm thinking since it's my birthday I get to choose! Have you ever had a lake view? If so, was it worth the extra points?

I voted for BLT lake view for a couple of reasons:

1) Access to MK & Epcot. Its the only resort with the benefit of being on the monorail. Works nice for pool & resort hopping too.

2) its a nice contrast to AKV, for decor & location. On our recent AKV/BLT split stay, we planned our DHS & AK visits for our AKV stay.

3) We've done a BLT LV twice and I was SO disappointed last week with our standard view. I really missed sitting on the balcony & enjoying the serenity of the lake. We had a monorail view. It was cool but I hated the parking lot. We were on the 2nd floor right next to the entrance. So no privacy either. I'd gladly pay for LV again (and so glad I have it booked for our December stay.)

Even though BLT was my 1st choice, I bet you'd be happy with any of the resorts you are considering. We've stayed at them all & enjoyed each for different reasons. I, too, thought that I would hate the VWL decor, but loved the resort so much I really didn't care. LOVED the boat rides to MK & CR!

If you are opposed to staying at Kidani because you're at Jambo at the beginning of the trip, I would choose Wilderness Lodge because the decor is lovely, they have a great pool, and Whispering Canyon Cafe is a lot of fun for loud and active families. :) The bus transportation at Wilderness can be a bit slow for my liking but the boat to MK is very speedy.

Thanks guys!

But do you find WL a little too similar to Jambo for a split stay in June?

Sorry you hated your standard view at BLT quirty30. We were on the opposite side last year and had a view of the courtyard and I thought it was great. I first fell in love with the LV when the resort was first opening and I watched a video on youtube and they toured a LV grand villa the view was AMAZING! It's a tough sell for my hubby though..he really hates BLT. It's ashame because I think it's so awesome. The benefit is the 3rd bathroom. We'll have my parents along with us too, plus my daughters' best friend. They'll be 9 of us! #9 is a baby though so we can still stay in a two bedroom at any resort!

Don't get me wrong, I really like both AKV and VWL, but they do feel similar to me. Darker, warmer, more rich colors and amazing lobbies. If I did a split stay, I don't know that I would do a split stay between those two. As for your poll, I voted BCV. My second choice would have been VWL for one reason only...you haven't stayed there.

When we joined DVC, we agreed we'd stay at all of the DVC resorts just to try them, and I'm so glad we did. BCV was the next to "last" on my list, because I didn't think I'd like it. I make the reservations, and I kept putting it off and putting it off. Finally, I bit the bullet and booked there for spring break last year. All I can say is wow. I fell in love with it! I say that not because I think you'll love it, but because it was such a pleasant surprise. Not sure which one(s) will be your pleasant surprise, but instead of having one resort I dearly love, I have a hard time deciding where I want to stay each trip. It keeps Disney fresh, and I still pinch myself when we're there, because we would have never paid to stay in such beautiful resorts!

Have fun planning! :cloud9:

If your DH doesn't like BLT, chose BWV. (are all these answers different?)
Wait, maybe pick VWL. I don't know if I can properly pick between these!

If you've never stayed at WL, maybe you should try that. The transportation was fine when we stayed there and I loved the "feel" of the place. I liked WCC way better than I thought I would and it was quiet and lovely and I'd stay there again.

But, I also really like the Boardwalk. I think it depends on if you will be at the MK or Epcot more in the evenings. Boatride back to WL or the quick walk to BW.

Not a big BC fan but need to stay there when it's warm so I can make a better opinion!

It's so hard to choose, isn't it?!

We love BWV..we've stayed there a couple of times. We haven't been back since the refurb. My biggest issue is that there are only lock offs. Chances are we'd wind up with a lock off somewhere else anyway at 7 months! My mom is pushing for BLT followed by BWV then BCV. I guess going from Jambo to WL doesn't seem to go with summertime to me. I can see a split stay like that in the cooler months. Silly I know! I'm figuring with a 2 year old we'll be at MK more.

It IS so hard to pick. I agree, we did WL in May.. not quite summertime, it is more of a wintery resort, but for little kids, it is my favorite pool. I like BLT's pool too for little ones.

This summer we're splitting between BWV and most of the trip at OKW. I just LOVE OKW. Have you done that a lot or why isn't that on your list?

In the summer, 10:00 or 11:00 comes to mind, but I can let you know for sure in a few days! Leaving a week from today! :woohoo:

If you are worried about lockoffs keep in mind that it will be difficult to get a dedicated 2 bedroom with 2 queens at BCV. Even some dedicated 2 bedrooms have one bed and the sleeper sofa. If you decide to go to BCV make sure when you reserve the 2 bedroom that you have a dedicated with 2 queens. It will say that on your confirmation.

I chose BWV (location and lower points) and Kidani (gorgeous). I find the WLV villas too dated, hate the color scheme. I am not a fan of BLT's style or decor. Looking over a parking lot for a castle view doesn't sound fun either especially for the point price.

We have OKW booked for this December! It will be our first time there and I can't wait!!! I guess they are all great choices for various reasons. I think at 7 months I'll try for BLT lake view due to the third bathroom, totwl, walking distance to MK...then BCV and lock off would be fine, third BWV because we love it so much and the villas are large! Being close to MK or Epcot would be great since we'll have a stroller.

BUT....when I call on Sunday to complete our 11 month reservations and if I can snag a treehouse I just might need to keep it rather then switch out!

Stay tuned!!! :surfweb:

We got back from BCV a week ago, and SAB closed most nights at 11 but was open until 12 some nights around 4th of July weekend.

I don't know that I have a strong vote, but...

I'm not crazy about the decor in the villas, but the resort itself is beautiful.
I thought exactly the same thing before our visit last summer. Somehow, the rooms in person don't look nearly as bad as the pictures suggest. It was actually kind of cute---I liked it a little more than BWV, which seemed a little nondescript to me.

I'm so torn about wilderness lodge. Did you think the pools seemed crowded on your summer visit? A lot of reports I've read say the main pool is too small for such a big resort.
