are people who are getting the upgrades going through a TA for reservations, or are they folks that booked directly with DCL? I am just curious if this makes a difference for who gets an upgrade or not...
I have a theory that they are trying to clear certain areas or entire decks. Let's add a question to this and see if we can see a pattern. If you were upgraded.....What category and deck were you in originally and what category and deck did you get upgraded to?
I was upgraded for the Sept 14 sailing on the Magic. I had connecting category 6 cabins on deck 6 and was upgraded to connecting category 4 cabins on deck 8!!!
We booked through a TA. We sailed Sept.1 and just got home today! I originally book cat 6. we were upgraded to cat. 3 ( 1 bedroom suite). It was beautiful.
Very happy for everyone who has rec'd an upgrade
Our group of 16 has 5 cabins reserved for over 2 yrs on Dk 2.
This could only happen in our wildest dreams
I highly doubt that i could be oh so lucky to upgrade from a CAT 4 to a CAT 3, but I guess a person can always dream! I was amazed to see on other threads that some of the $99 cruises also got upgrades...
besides, I am fearful that if I got upgraded to a 3, then i would be so spoiled, that i could only be satisfied with a cat 3 for all future cruises!
Thats how I feel. I went from a category 9 to a category 5 last cruise. When I rebooked I booked a category 5, so if I got upgraded to a category 3, I know my DH will say, lets go for a category 3 if we rebook.
