Curbside baggage check-tipping??

Sorry to ask a stupid question - and this close to the holidays no less .
How much / bag do you tip for curbside baggage check?? It's been ages since we've done this so I'm out of touch....

It's been a while since my family used curbside luggage checking...especially after 9/11 they weren't doing it for quite a while at DTW (Detroit)...I know my dad used to tip $5-$10.

I usually tip $1 per bag. If they print boarding passes, I give extra (on our trip this month, I gave him $5 for 3 bags and boarding passes at AirTran). You figure they spend less than 5 minutes working for you, they must make a fortune in tips!

I tipped $10 for 6 bags this past November.

$1 per bag, but never less than $5.

I'm with DVC Don. One more thing to note--if the bags are large or heavy, add a couple extra $$ for each.
