I LOVE CUPCAKES! and I am looking to try some at Disney during our trip in December. :woohoo:

So far I know that I am going for:

  • Red Velvet cheesecake cupcake at Starring Rolls
  • Carrot Cake cookie sandwich at Writers Stop (not really a cupcake but close enough for me:laughing:)
The others that I have seen on disboards that have intreiged me:

  • White chocolate elephant cupcake at the bakery in AK
  • butterfinger cupcake at Starring rolls (not really a butterfinger fan, but maybe)

I have seen a picture of some cupcakes from some of the resorts that looked delish but I can't remember exactly what kind they were and where they were at.

Any help out there?
Are there any other cupcakes that ar "not to be missed"?

The strawberry cupcake at the Contemporary quick service restaurant! I got it in May, and it was awesome. I'm hoping that is wasn't a "seasonal" cupcake and is still there when I go back this fall.

YUM!! :worship: I wonder if it will be there in December? I can only hope so.:lovestruc

We had talked about going to some of the resorts for our CS meals instead of staying in the parks. The Contempo Cafe was one of the ones we had heard had really good food and we thought it would be really easy to jump on the monorail to get there.

Did you eat there or just enjoy the cupcake? What else was good?

Contempo cafe @ Contemporary has Caramel Dos Leches, Black Forest, & Pina Colada, Don't miss the Carmel Shop @ Germany in Epcot-can't rmember the name of the shop or the DELICIOUS cupcake!

Also the bakery at Animal Kingdom has terrific cupcakes with animals, pawprints etc.

I think the best cupcake is the chocolate pb cupcake from Starring Rolls.
One thing I don't like about the cupcakes in general is they are kept refrigerated (cold, hard frosting..) Although it is hard to wait, I always let mine come to room temp. before indulging.

Oh, this is the one I was going to recommend. It is soooo good! You already have my top pick listed in the OP...red velvet cupcake from Starring Rolls. I would kill to have one right now.

I remember reading about a S'Mores cupcake at the Roarin Forks, so I'm anxious to try that in September.

I ate there one evening, but I think all I had was a flatbread. Tasted pretty much the same as the flatbreads you can get elsewhere at some of the Disney counter service restaurants. I will say that it's easy to get to the Contempo Cafe by jumping off the monorail and then going down the escalator.

I plan to stop by by there at the end of next month, and I'll report back on the strawberry cupcake situation - LOL!

That is what I want next trip! I love Peanut Butter anything and if you add chocolate :cloud9:.
