Hello! Just curious as to what exactly is included in these apartments and what I will need to bring.... toaster, TV, shower curtain, etc.????

Thanks in advace!

I do not know anything about Cumberland, and have not seen anyone else mention them. I'm not sure that anyone knows the answer to your question.

Thanks in advace!

kitchen has a toaster, microwave, range, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher

living room has a couch, chair, end table with lamp, coffee table and a stand for a tv (but you'd have to bring your own)

washer/dryer, ironing board are there

bedrooms have beds, mattresses (bring a nice mattress pad/egg crate/sheets!), end tables with lamps, dressers

bathrooms already have shower curtains

anything else you're concerned about, let me know! i am finishing up my professional internship now and moving out of cumberland!

Are the beds in Cumberland twin or twin xl ? My DD will be doing the PI in the fall and just curious if she can use her twin xl sheets etc. that she uses in her dorm at school. One more quick question, do the Cumberland apts. have lockers in them that I've seen mentioned in the CP apts.? Thanks:flower3:

Thanks for the info! If there is an ironing board, is it safe to assume that there is an iron???

Is there anything that wasn't included in the apt. that you wish you had brought???

yes, they are twin xl....

and no, there are no lockers...and you shouldn't really need one...

(and yes there is an iron, toaster, microwave)...I ended up buying a Magic Bullet down here...other than that you shouldn't need too much

There are dressers for each person in the room, right? Kind of like a college dorm room? How big are the dressers? (I'm a bit worried about packing too much clothes.)

Also, are there closets in the room and do they have hangers?

how far away are these apartments? and how much is rent? lol haha and are utilities included? i am just looking into things briefly before applying for fall '11. Sorry for the questions!! ohh andd lastly how far away is this located!

I just moved in today, and I have to say these apartments are nice. They are really very well put together and everything looks good. My two bedroom has two bathrooms, and my room (the bigger one) has a very large walk in closet. (The other room has a closet in their bathroom - still big but not as big.) We also have a screened patio, and another closet out there for storage.

We have a washer and dryer right in our apartment. As was mentioned before, there is a toaster and a dishwasher and a nice big fridge. Also a microwave and oven (electric, not gas). There is pantry cabinet and a lot of storage room in the kitchen. There's a dining table with four chairs. We have a TV with DirecTV, and a wireless router already set up. The apartments also already had towels and an iron. There's only one dresser with six drawers for each room, so my roommate and I had to get plastic drawers to put in the closet.

I'm pretty sure the beds are actually twin, not twin XL. I got a twin XL mattress pad and it was too big. But they are proper mattresses, not like what I had in my dorm as an undergrad. Also there are bulletin boards over each bed, and a nightstand with two drawers between the beds.

All in all, I am very impressed. Feel free to ask more questions - I can answer better now that I'm here.

ETA: To answer your specific questions, rent depends on if you have two bedrooms (four people) or three bedrooms (six people). I believe two bedrooms is $135 a week, but I'd have to check my paperwork. All the utilities, plus the internet and tv, are included, as is parking. For how far, it depends on where you're working. It's about 15 minutes to Downtown Disney. You can google maps it to see how far to other places.

Thanks so much for the update spbink! My DD will be moving in to Cumberland in August so I am trying to find out as much as possible for her. A friend of hers at school just finished his PI in December and he told her it was great. Enjoy!:flower3:

wait i am confused.. is that $135 or whatever total or per person? and disney doesnt put you there you had to find it on your own right?

It is $135 per person. Also, it is part of the Professional Internship - they give you the option to use it or not, but you have to decide before you go and it usually fills up so you can't decide you want it after the program starts.
