You asked her why she did this, and this is what she told you?
With all due respect, I really believe that you're projecting your personal hang ups onto her. I'd venture to guess that she probably gave the entire matter little, if any, thought.
Ok ok ok... show me yours.
Seasoned not withstanding. (where did that ducking smiley go??)

Does anyone know if sex crimes against women have increased or decreased since the sexual revolution? Sometimes I really think it backfired.
That's funny. You're embarrassed because some people feel the need to be modest, discreet and have not so much of a "if it feels good, why not?" attitude.![]()
Oh my curlers ....................![]()
Seasoned? You go from being a 36C to a 42long.![]()

As I understand it, rape rates are fairly constant globally. Women are in just as much danger in Saudi Arabia as they are in Miami, FL or Nome, Alaska. Clothing doesn't matter so much. Women dress modestly in Saudi Arabia for cultural / religious reasons. Women in Nome, Alaska cover themselves just as throughly due to the weather. Heck, it was just in the news that a 90 year old woman in Italy was sexually assaulted.
This makes complete sense. Rape is about power and control. So no matter what you wear or did not wear it would not have helped. As I understand it, rape rates are fairly constant globally. For me it is not an issue of ahead or behind but that women are treated equally in that particular society. If dressing modest is only required by women then IMHO it is wrong. And I see you igmored the other part of my post. So are we ahead of other countries or not? Why is it OK to say we are ahead of other countries and not say were are behind?
I was in the choir so I never even saw her actually do it. However, I did see her "interactions" with ushers, with one of the Sisters and with one of the Priests-all who had asked her to please use a blanket when nursing in the sanctuary.

Ohhhh good grief!!!
And, it is very obvious that breastfeeding with a little discretion is completely different than displaying a bare, engorged, nipple on the front page of the media. HUGE difference.
QUOTE]
A minor point: you've used the word "engorged" several times to describe the nipple in the picture. It isn't: that would be a normal lactating nipple, looks likes it has just been used for feeding. I infer from the term "engorged" either a sexual connotation or a biological mechanism, neither of which is relevant to the picture (in my opinion).
But then, maybe I'm a prude. But then again, I'm European, so that can't be true........![]()

This thread has degenerated just like all other threads on this topic.
And, it is still here on page one??? On and on and on.... Another energizer bunny..
I have to say that it gets really old hearing the liberal, let it all hang out, crowd try to use the issue of breastfeeding to justify their views.
