Culinary Crisis: Stressed About H&V

I made ADRs for the H&V Fantasmic Package for June 12th. We enjoyed it during our 2000 trip and really liked the shorter wait time at Fantasmic. When I booked a couple months ago, the reviews seemed favorable - nothing spectacular, but decent food.

Now I am reading about cold food, dirty tables, and long waits upon arrival. I called WDW DINE to switch to the Fantasmic Package at Mama Melrose's, but they are booked.

I am all worked up that we will have a disappointing dinner (like its the end of the world ).

Just how bad will this be? Do Fantasmic Packages ever open up closer to the date?

I went last Oct and we really enjoyed it. Good food and great service-quick to pick up dirty plates and quick to refill drinks.

Have you considered eating dinner elsewhere and viewing Fantasmic without a package? We've never had trouble finding seats before the show-one of us will find a seat about an hour ahead while the others do rides or shop. If you're doing the DDP you could use a CS credit and save your TS credit for a nice dinner at another restaurant. You might be able to get an ADR for Mama Melrose while you're there and just find your own seats. I hope I didn't make things more confusing!

I think you are worrying too much. We enjoyed it there. Every restaurant in WDW has good and bad reviews. I really would not stress about it.
