CTR Lunch How hard to book?

It has been awhile since we have been to Cinderella's Royal Table. Our daughter is all grown up and we have not needed to spend that much money on breakfast or lunch anymore. We are traveling this December with a party of 8 and 6 of them want to eat lunch there on one of our MK days since they haven't been. We will be on the Dining Plan and have read that it a decent use of 2 credits because the tip is included.

How difficult is this reservation do obtain? I can remember when only breakfasts were character meals and you had to call at the stroke of 6 am and hope to get a reservation. Somehow we were very fortunate. Is it something I need to book at exactly 180 days at 6 am? We really want to split up the 6 people into a party of 2 and a party of 4. We will also be trying to book a PPO BOG breakfast on a different date. Do I need to do one before the other? Any help would be appreciated.

Those are both tough to get reservations. I would be online as soon as the booking window opens on your ADR day. Whichever one comes first in your trip (CRT or BOG) I would do first then do the other. Of course, there is a chance you can get lucky and snag the reservations later on, but I wouldn't chance it if CRT and BOG are priorities.
