CSR to Downtown Disney

So, if we don't want a 45 minutes bus ride with connections, which would you recommend from CSR to Downtown Disney:

Taxi to downtown disney
or
Taxi to Port Orleans Riverside, boat to downtown disney

Is it worth the extra time to see the resort and is the boat ride nice?

Doesn't the CSR have a bus that goes directly from the resort to DTD? As far as I know all of the resorts do.

I certainly would not take a taxi to the POR, just to take the boat to DTD. The resort is nice and the boat ride is relaxing, but by the time you got a taxi, got to the POR, walked down to the dock and waited for the boat, got the boat to DTD you could have been there from the CSR on the bus.

ALL Disney resorts have busses that go directly to the four theme parks and DTD. I was at the World in December and took a bus from CSR straight to DTD.
