CSR Ranchos ?

How far is it from the ranchos to the main building and food court?

It depends on which building. Ranchos 7B is our favorite location at CSR. The themeing in so amazing in the Ranchos section - much better than the other two areas. 7B is very close to the main pool, as well as a quiet pool and a bus stop. It was less than a 10 minute walk to the main building. It was actaully a very nice walk over a bridge and through some lovely landscaping. We never minded the walk at all.

Does the bridge cross the lake?

Yes. It crosses sort of a skinny little inlet of the lake that extends over towards the Cabanas section.

Is it quicker to drive from the ranchos to the food court? When we stayed at PO-R it was a nice walk in the morning to get breakfast and bring it back to the room-Just wondering if it would be unreasonable to think I could do the same at CSR. I like the Ranchos the best so that is what I would request. We are planning a 2003 trip with a few nights at CSR followed by CR...

I definately wouldn't bother driving. I walked over lots of mornings and got muffins, etc. to bring back to the room. It wasn't a problem at all. I'd guess that your total walking time there and back would be about 15 minutes - of course that doesn't include waiting in line at the food court, etc.

It is farthest from the food court but I like the Ranchos best. They have been renovated recently too.

Like others have said it is a fair walk. 10-15 minutes depending on how fast you go. I have video on my site of a walk through the ranchos.

DH and I stayed in Ranchos 6A last year, and we loved the location. We did drive to El Centro most days, but that was only because we were always headed out right after breakfast. One night we did walk back and forth and it was gorgeous! You'll love this resort!
