CSR or AoA help us decide

DH and I are planning a trip first week of August. We have previously stayed at the All Stars, Pop, and the CBR. We are looking to stay at either AoA or CSR. Anyone have a preference and why. TIA

What type of room at AoA? A suite or LM room?

Then CSR, hands down. The mermaid rooms are too far for me to do an entire week with that walk. I would never use the rapid refill cups and would dread the walk back to the room. At CSR there are more stops so you’re on the bus longer, but you get off so much closer to your room. There is also a mug refill station at the pool and a water slide and hot tub.

CSR is a moderate. AoA, while nicely themed, is a value resort. I would stay at CSR for the extra amenities - better landscaping, slide and hot tubs at the pool, fitness centre, TS restaurants, larger rooms, rooms closer to bus stops, etc.

I have never stayed at CSR, so I can't give advice for that. But I think I would stay at Pop rather than a LM room at AoA. The LM rooms are pretty far from the main building. Convenience to the food court and buses is important to me. If you are using Disney buses rather than a car, then being close to the bus stops could be key in the August heat and humidity. And if you want to visit AoA it's a quick trip across the bridge.

With all the renovations and the new areas at CSR, I would choose that resort hands down. The new specs looks fabulous!

I just booked CSR for September. There is a sale and it made it cheaper than the LM room at AoA.
I have stayed at AoA in a suite. Absolutely love the resort. But the LM building really is far away.
Either way though, it's Disney! You will have a great time!

For two adults, definitely CSR. Its a beautiful resort better suited for adults. AoA is great and I absolutely love it, but CSR is a more relaxed vibe. Hot tub, Quick Service by the main pool, lush landscaping, and frankly the best bus service around. You wont regret it.
