CSR Food Court

Hi,

We are planning a Dec. trip, and our first day there we plan on just going to the different resorts to see the Christmas decorations. We will be staying at ASMU, and going to several different resorts to "See".
We are thinking of having lunch at the Pepper Market at the CSR ( we have never seen this resort and I would like to check it out.)

Opinions on the food? ( We LOVE mexican food, and have a great place here at home that is authentic Mexican. Best Margaritas around! LOL!!)

How about your stay at CSR? I am thinking that next trip we may want to try this resort.

CSR is a great resort. My families favorite. So much so we created a website to share CSR info. Epcotfan (aka Tracy) has also created a great website on CSR to share his views. You can link to the site from my site below.

As for the resort, again, everyone has a different point of view, but we just love it. Set up in mexican/southwestern theme, it has a great pool area, awesome transportation service that isn't shared with other resorts and the Pepper Market. The PM is not like other food courts. That turns folks off right away because they don't feel it is fair to pay 10% gratuity to a server to seat you, bring your sodas, refills and condiments. Oh well, to each his own. I would have left a tip anyway so it doesn't bother me one bit. You also get silverware instead of plastic. If you like Mexican food, you have to try the Mexican station at the PM. The wet burrito is incredible.

We spent a night at Coronado Springs last summer, before checking into a DCV room. We loved it! The theming is great. We had a room near one of the quiet pools and we also enjoyed the main pool. It is huge and it looks like the water cascading down the Mayan pyramid is going into the pool! There is also a great waterslide (gentle for the whole family) and a nice playground. The big lake is beautiful at night. It was all lit up and the water was like glass. Other people have seen small alligators there. I noticed you could rent boats here and we enjoyed feeding the ducks.

The Pepper Market is unique. You get a ticket and visit different stations where they offer different foods. Then you pay for what you've gotten when you leave. The servers kept our table clean and refilled drinks and were quite attentive. I had chicken with veggies and my husband had a small pizza. The kids had chicken strips. There was also Mexican food, ice cream, coffee and bakery food. Everything was good. The price was higher than a food court but still reasonable -- I think our bill for 4 people with the included tip was around $50. There is also a section of the Market that is a full-service restaurant and a little store that sells fruit, milk, sandwiches, candy and cereal. We bought breakfast there the next morning and ate outside. The ducks managed to get half of the kids' cereal!

We enjoyed everything about this lovely place and originally only went there because it was "on sale" -- there was a code out for $114 a night. I would definitely recommend it and would love to go back someday. It is reasonably priced and offers a lot to see and enjoy for families or adults.
