CSI - Wow!!!!

I'm pregnant and very emotional-but good Lord I just bawled for over an hour! I loved Warrick! Grissom was so real in his grief. Dh asked why I watched since I already knew what happened. I was holding out hope all summer that he wouldn't really die-just go into a coma or something.

I watched. Since it was a cliff hanger, you might want to change your title and put "spoilers" in it before you get chewed out by people who recorded it or are in the western part of the country.

So sad, I was so holding out hope, but I had a feeling he would die. Sucks, he sure was some serious eye candy!! (and of course a great actor)

Gary Dourdan's (Warrick Brown) firing last spring was kind of a hint.

Honestly... I have been a mess over other things all week, but that really got to me! Not sure it will ever be the same.

Why are you rolling your eyes? He could have lived but been incapacitated somehow (either permanently or just indefinitely). And I know that on one of the commercials/previews for this first episode, they did show what appeared to be someone in a hospital bed. However, they then proceeded last night to show that exact same scene in the preview for next week. They were definitely trying to make people wonder if the character (regardless of the actor's status) would survive or not, even if he did not remain an on screen character.

WOW is right. I assumed Worick was going to die so that was no surprise to me. Yet I still cried for an hour and was really bummed for the rest of the evening.:confused3

Except for Jorja Fox (Sara), they really looked grief stricken. The acting was terrific. . Great episode.

You can't live on with the show when you give a bitter interview like Gary Dourdan did last spring when he and CSI parted ways. Talk about burning your bridges as you cross them, heck he used a flame thrower. He was also was arrested for drug possession and it was hinted by the studio that his drug problems were one of the causes for his dismissal. His firing was in the newspapers and on the net, so I can't see how it was a surprise for some that his charcter died. In this day and age of instant communication it's pretty hard to not see something like this comming. Supposedly Marg Helgenberger (Catherine Willows) is leaving after this season as well and is tired of the show.

Hmmm, I think it was his arrest for possession a few weeks after the firing which made me think he'd be killed off.

Pity, he's a good actor.

That was an incredible episode. I'd say one of their best. The church scene was so sad.:sad1: Great acting. Oh and glad they caught the SOB.

And William Peterson is supposidly leaving this season. :sad2:

I think the shows on a spiral downward. Too bad as it's been one of my favorites.

Last night was a sad one - even knowing that the character wasn't going to survive. It was nice to see the personal side of the relationship between the characters. I thought at the beginning that Warrick was going to tell Grissom who the shooter was before he died. I'm glad they caught him in the end - it brought closure to the entire episode.

It is still no excuse to roll your eyes at those of us who simply watch a show and don't keep up with the personal lives of the actors and actresses.

To me, and only because you used this guy "", it sounded like you were saying, "Duh. You people are idiots for not knowing for certain that the character was dead, and also for not keeping up with the actor's personal problems."

Not everyone cares about nor bothers to keep up with the behind-the-scenes drama involving celebrities. And despite the actor's problems, the character still could have survived and still been written completely out of the show :confused3.

I think Warrick saved Gris's life. Warrick saw who shot him and his hand near his gun. I think if Warrick said anything to Gris he would have been shot too.

It's a cartoon smile on an internet board - really it's just not that big of a deal.

My favorite TV show since first season.
I really liked the Warrick character. I will miss him.....if I continue to watch :(
Depends on how Lawerence Fishburne's character is....we'll see.
Losing Gil is definitely a hard transition for me, so it better be darn good!!

I agree. In the grand scheme of things it's not a big deal. But it still bugs me. You are still dealing with other human beings here, even if it is just an "internet board". The primary purpose of smilies (aka emoticons) is to indicate emotion, which can't be indicated by the written word only. While often used just for fun, they primarily serve as indicators, much like body language or facial expression in "real" life.

But it is that certain smilie which is often particularly indicative as being directed negatively towards another poster(s). In this instance it seemed directed anyone who found the show emotional and who hadn't assumed or already heard that the character had indeed died.

Well I bawled- I mean bawled like snot bubbles bawled

I think it was an awesome episode, but sad.

He was such nice eye candy to boot :lovestruc

Oh well.

Who was the baby's momma? Was it his ex wife, Tina?

I did hear that he would die, but not immediately - I was SO willing him to tell Grissom who shot him at the beginning!

I never liked Sara, she never really seemed to connect with the rest of the team (except, surprisingly, Gil;) ) - she did seem out of place on the show last night. She looked like she had gained a lot of weight - I wondered at first if she is pregnant (on the show) - could be the catalyst for Gil's reported exit later this year. I heard that Lawrence Fishburne is joining the cast.
