CSE-- Pg. 74 SATAN'S HAMMER, Ch.18, pg.160 "Goodnight Sweetheart" epilogue

Maybe the soda pop girl was from CA. I've never heard anyone say, "easy ice", just "easy on the ice" or "go easy on the ice." However, I think I would have figured it out, or at least said, "Do you mean just a little bit of ice?" And for the half cup of soda, it reminded me of when I asked a waiter if I could get another pot of hot water for my tea. He took the pot with the tea bag in it, threw away the tea bag, brought back the pot of hot water with neither old tea bag nor new. :confused3
As for attracting the yellow jacket, maybe you should have pulled some clothes from the laundry pile and worn them to the pool. That might have at least kept her upwind from you.:goodvibes <<waves of "fragrance" from the laundry pile.

I still can't believe that yellow Jacket,,,so glad I had the camera with me to show how close she really got.

"Should be avoided at all costs,,, see Amway Salesman, Jehovah's Witness or Cubs fan. "

That was low mister. :confused3

QUOTE]

Uh oh,,, don't tell me, Shan,,, I mean,,, Shanalicious,:headache:,,, don't tell me that you are all three!?

Maybe you attract those yellow jackets because you are so sweet!! :rolleyes1

Yes, that must be it.

Nice picture of you and the Smidg. You both look like you were feeling no pain, I mean, Much better!!

What, it hurt too much to leave with just a nice comment? Geesh.

Hot Dog sliders?? Did they come with a little Squirt bottle?

Sometimes Disney needs to just stick to what they do best,,,, and try not to be clever.

Happy Father's Day Nebo!

And to all the other Dads reading this, too!

[B Happy Father's Day to Elle and Kay's pappy too. [/B]

Great picture of the two of you!

Squirt! My favorite soft drink, and I haven't had it in so long that I had forgotten all about it. I haven't even seen that sold in stores in years! Maybe they just don't sell it in the south.
Now I'm going to have to search for it in every store.

Great chapter, Nebo.

I'm pretty sure Squirt is just about everywhere,,, I buy it all the time,,, it's the best mix with bourbon if you're not making Manhattans.

Hmm. We say "light ice" -- maybe a northeastern thing? It's just a good thing it wasn't Nebo, and the cast member didn't hear "easy on the eyes" -- or he might have been banished from the foodery and drummed into the pool for harrasment! :rotfl:

Wonderful chapter, I love the YJ setting up shop virtually on top of you. They are the reason I now avoid main pools if I want to relax in the slightest :rolleyes1

Maria :upsidedow

personally,,, I never heard the phrase "easy ice" until I heard Smidgy order it

Great photo in front of the fountain. And, I agree, the 3rd book is definitely the weakest.

Thanks for the entertaining update:thumbsup2

you are welcome, Sharon. I really was dissappointed in,,,, oh heck,,,, I think there's some folks reading that haven't finished them yet,,, I better not ruin anything.

Hey! I resemble that remark!

You know,, I"m guessing that most readers are WASPs.

Don't they have a laundry right next to the quiet pool? Couldn't you throw some clothes in while you sip your Sunny D's poolside?

Just sayin.

Yes they do, and what's kyour point? That's why you bring all these clothes,,, so you don't have to spend 5 bucks on doing a load of laundry. And then I wouldn't have been able to add in my "It's Alive" line about the clothes in the corner. You see, at all times you must be thinking of the trip report,,, especially by the time you do your 48th report,,,, and laughs are few and far between.

My mother-in-law used to tell my husband that bread helped you grow your brain.

I'm not sure that Wonder is really bread.

that was part of the Wonder Bread main ads and commercials! There'd be a diagram of a boy and then an inset of his brain,,, growing,,, growing,,,,

"It's Alive"!

sorry,,,, but realy,,, that's what the ad said.

I have a feeling Ponzi is going to have a field day with this.

Agreed. They should get out of the chip business.

Yes,,, immediately.

Yes. I didn't like that one as much as the other either.

well that's definately the consensus.

One place we went to they handed us a cup of whatever we ordered for pour into the mug ourselves. They said they couldn't fill it themselves.

I know exactly the place,,, the outside bar/snack/refil stand at the Contemporary,,,, you asked for a Coke,,, handed over the mug,,, they ignored it,,, and handed back a cup with Coke that you must then pour yourself into the mug.
I felt like I had the Cooties.

She must have gone through a lot erasers in school.

You sure know how to attract those things Nebo.

I know,,,, make it stop.

Great chapter Nebo!

Full of the Holy Spirit at the moment.

All I got is:

Happy Father's Day to you Nebo and all the other Dads!

:cool2::cool2::cool2:

And tell Tim Happy Father's Day from us as well.

I'm back from my cruise to Cozumel, Mexico! I still feel like I'm on the boat, and it's rocking back and forth! Had a great time... ready to get back to reading all the awesome TRs!

I heard that's actually a health department rule (state, not Disney). Don't ask me why though? Maybe it has to do with the mug? :confused3

Great chapter, Nebo!

I don't think I've ever seen A Bridge too Far.
Is it better than the An Unabridged too Far movie?
No, really never saw it, is it good?

It was good movie with a cast that inlcuded Sean Connery, Ryan O'Neal, Michael Caine, Laurence Olivier, Robert Redford, James Caan, Dirk Bogarde, Anthony Hopkins, Gene Hackman, Liv Ullmann. "An historic telling of the failed attempt to capture several bridges to Germany in World War II in a campaign called Operation Market-Garden."

Happy Anniversary, and congratulations on being reunited with your grandchildren!
The only picture I saw was your profile picture, Smidgy. We would have to be friends on facebook for me to see more than that.
