We are going to F& W for a girls only trip. :yay:
Most of us eat salad for lunch. Where can we get a good CS salad?
Is there any where the salad is big enough to share?
Please give me your reviews with suggestions.

Please I need some advice. Normally When DH and I are at the mouse I get a side salad, and take a chicken finger from him. So I have never really paid attention to what was offered. :confused3
We are on the Dining Plan this trip.

AK- Flame tree has a BBQ chicken salad I think this one is the best.
DTD- Wolfgang pucks express has really large yummy salads I usually go here for dinner.

Epcot- I have never gotten a salad here. There is just so many yummy things here.

MK- Pecos Bills has a taco salad that is OK and I have to say just ok.

DHS I always get salad at TSPP and its good fresh cold and you can pick your dressing.

Hope that helps a little bit

I would highly recommend the Chicken Ceaser Salad from the Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary, because each time it's made fresh and not pre-packaged like a lot of other counter service salads.

I'm the same way, really like salads, especially in the hot Florida weather! There was a great salad at Columbia Harbour House that I had last trip. I also enjoyed one from the Yak & Yeti counter service in AK. Oh, and I think I had a nice greek salad in DHS, at the Studio Catering Co

I really enjoyed the roasted golden beet and goat cheese salad with honey sherry dressing from Sunshine Seasons at the Land in EPCOT. Don't recall if it was big enough to share, but I ate mine by myself.

The Caprese salad at Toy Story Pizza Planet. I do not think it is big enough to share.

Also the Barbecue Chicken salad at Flame Tree (AK). should be enough to share.

Not a salad - but the vegetarian platter at Tangierine Cafe is probably big enough to share.

Sunshine Seasons has great salads but I dont think they are big enough to share

Pecos Bill's has 2 salads on their menu a taco salad and a salad with chicken. The chicken salad has a nice viniagrette and is very yummy. Pinocchio Village Haus also has a good Mediterranean salad.

If you go to www.allears.net and go to the dining section they have very up to date menus at most of the places. Counterservice and Table service.
Good luck:goodvibes

Question to the original poster...if you are on the dining plan, why do you want to share a salad? Each person can get a CS salad, a drink and a dessert as one CS credit.

Anyhow, my vote for the best CS salads go to Sunshine Seasons in the Land at Epcot.

My husband always gets the rare tuna salad and I always get the goat cheese and beet salad (no beets!) they are both very good and make a nice lunch...I even crave the goat cheese salad sometimes, it is that good.

Another good choice for salads is Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It's a TS buffet so you'll probably eat a lot more, but they have interesting prepared salads that are yummy.

There is also a good-looking salad at Pinnochio's Village Haus in MK, but I've never tried it.

Sunshine Seasons has delicious fresh salads. Not big enough for two, but reasonably priced and a good meal.

Another vote for WPE. Also, Artist palette at SSR has some great salads. DS11 & I share ll the time.

The Caprese at Pizza Planet is surprisingly good.

Question for Original Poster - if you are going for food and wine - why not sample those foods in EPCOT for lunch? I understand many eat salad for lunch while at home, but the portions at the F&W food stands are small, so you would not be overindulging. Just a thought.

There are now salads everywhere! You should not have a problem - but I second Sunshine Seasons and there are a few good salads on the menu at Kona in the Poly.

Mediterranean salad at Pinocchio Haus twice on our recent trip. The mozerella was pretty much worthless but I liked the rest of the salad. I don't think it's large enough to satisfy two people unless you have been snacking during the day. It was a good light meal on a hot day with the olive oil and vinegar dressing.

I saw a picture once of a salad that came with flatbread. I am not sure where it came from but it looked really good. I thought it was a CS place in MK but not sure. Has anyone ever had anything like this, if so where did you get it?

I love the make-your-own salad at the Beach Club Marketplace in the Beach Club resort. We have ordered it a total of 3 times on the previous trip. You can pick everything you want in it, including the dressing. It was HUGE but during the trip they changed to a different bowl that was almost half the size. I don't know if it was temporary because I haven't seen any review of it, but even so, it was still big and made a filling lunch.
