CS is booked...need the coolest pool!

I totally had my heart set on staying at Coronado Springs when we go to WDW in September for my son's birthday. It appears to have the most fun pool area, and all DS (autism) is saying he wants to do is swim in the pool or go to water parks (which is not in the budget). We were just waiting to book til a deal came along, which today it did. NOW, CS is booked! Any suggestions on which moderate resort to look at? I think we're between Caribbean Beach and PO Riverside. Oh and we are NOT really beach people!

OK any input on PO Riverside? I've done some looking and *think* that would be our next choice, though the overall "theming" is not our style. Still pool looks nice and location isn't bad. Plus no elevators which my DS won't ride on anyway! Any advice is welcome

One minor consideration about Caribbean is that the rooms are larger that at any of the other moderates.

Well we are booked for PO RS for 9/26 thru 10/1. I am SOOOO excited! It was just exciting to click the button on the website to book the room We have never stayed anywhere nicer than a Days Inn before so I'm sure these rooms will be wonderful for us. The spread out layout may work in our favor as well since I'm hoping it will make things feel less crowded and make DS stay more calm! I know he will love walking around the grounds, the river and especially the pools (I may have trouble dragging him away to go to the parks!)

Don't forget you can use the pool at FQ also since they are sister resorts.

CBR has a really cool pirate pool. It's zero entry. My son has autism and as much as he loves swimming, he also likes to go into shallow water, lay down in the water and walk on his hands. He loves zero entry pools and wave pools for this reason. That's why we chose CBR this time.

Water Parks don't have to bust the budget.

Yes, one day tickets are $45 adult and $39 Ages 3-9, plus tax.

However, if you have regular Theme Park tickets for $52 per ticket you can add the Water Parks Fun and More option, which will allow the same number of entries as you have Park days (except two entries with a one day theme park ticket).

But if you are not planning on doing the Theme Parks, you can get a Water Park Annual Pass, good for both water parks for a full year with no blockout dates for $99.95 adult or $80.50 Ages 3-9.

We came back from 5 nights at PO Riverside and loved it. The girls loved the pool (they are 8 and almost 8 - we have a bio and adopted daughter who are 80 days apart). They loved the slide, sprinkler, everything. I think we could have spent a solid day there. We went in every day either at the beginning or end of day. I even liked the pool. I get really cold easily but found it easy to warm up quickly and wanted to stay in.

I did not find the place "themey" and was very nice and somewhat cozy. Our room had a river view and it was very quiet. The girls like watching the old Disney cartoons in the couch area by check in. On a couple of night there was a great singer in the lounge. People were gathered around listing and some dancing in the fountain room (the name I gave the room your first walk into where all the other rooms branch off from).

The food was great. A couple of times we got breakfast or lunch and brought it over to eat by the pool. I also have CD (Celiac Disease) and the chef was very accomodating. Had great pancakes.

One night one of my daughter and I walked over to PO Riverside. We did not to see the pool but we did get to take the boat back which was fun.

As pp mentioned staying at POR entitles you to use the pool at POFQ ........the year we stayed at POFQ my son loved the Serpant slide at the pool, you may have a hard time getting him away from it like you said
