Crystal Palace - really disappointed

Whew! I thought you were going to say the food was bad. We will be dining there next week before MNSSHP.

I gotta say...when DH and I dine alone at a character meal, we do NOT want a lot of character interaction. We are there for a good buffet breakfast. The characters come over to us and kind of "feel our vibe" and pass us by after saying hello. They may get that reaction so often that they automatically assume adults dining without children want to be left alone.

Sorry you felt miffed. I say give it another try.

Thanks for all the feedback. Maybe I just caught them at a bad time or for some reason I gave off the wrong signals. I will give it another go when we go next year before our cruise. I like nothing better than goofing around with the characters and had great fun particularly with Stitch on the Magic and Donald and Daisy on the Wonder. Maybe I was just spoiled by my two cruises and the fantastic character interaction there.

I always get out my camera and if I have an autograph book that too and put those on the table. I figure if they see them then they will know I want them to stop at my table. I don't know if it helps but so far we have always had good luck with the characters and it is just me and DH. I agree with the others if they pass you by let a handler know. I may be a big kid but I love meeting the characters.

Having Disney characters come to my table and hug me and parading me around is like sitting on Santa's knee. No thanks.
Now I need to worry how to avoid unwanted attention. Its always something.

I love CP, and usually get pretty good character interaction there. That being said, sometimes it can be tricky getting it.

we just returned from Disney, and all the characters came to hubby and my table to smooch or pat us on the head too......they even stopped for photos if we wanted them to....This was at Crystal Palace

Oh wow - you made me remember ... We were at CP about 10 days ago; by the time Piglet came to our table I was really down (DBF drama, not important). Anyway, my friends wanted to take my picture with Piglet and I just didn't want to because I was so sad - so Piglet hugs me from behind and smooched my head...it was the sweetest thing

Needless to say, pic was taken and my day improved - thanks Piglet!

OP, I am never one to say this because I hate excuses, but maybe it really was an off day - I hope you give CP another go

Our party was on two tables when we visited CP. Tigger missed both tables. We mentioned this to our server and she arranged with Tiggers handler for him to come back over for pics.
