Quick background: Going with kids in the Fall. :dance3:

I would prefer to go to dinner. The food choices seem interesting, and I think it would just be so beautiful all lit up at night. But it seems like there's been quite a few bad reviews lately for dinner so.......

What do ya think? CP breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and why?

I'll throw in for breakfast. In my opinion the food isn't great no matter when you go, but you can make a reservation for breakfast for before the park opens. I thought that being in the park with almost no one else there to be a unique and charming experience.

I voted for Breakfast & Dinner, as both are excellent. This is a must for me on every trip!!

breakfast - we had ADR's one time for dinner, walked in and looked at what was on the buffet, saw nothing appealing, nothing the kids would eat and left. We eat breakfast there are 11, that way we can do early entry and get several hours of touring in, take a nice break, etc.

We really liked the breakfast buffet much better than the lunch buffet. We liked it so much when we were there in September that we made another one for our upcoming trip. Plus, like other PPs have said, getting a ADR for before the park opens is so magical and a great way to get pictures of the castle without a lot of people there.

Would any of you who voted down dinner care to explain?
We have a dinner booked in Aug & the menu sounded good - Shrimp, Prime Rib, Adobo Pork, Pasta, etc etc etc....
Are these not very good?
Would appreciate your input - we can still change ADR's (I hope...)
Thanks!

I like breakfast as others have said - to make ADR before park opens and walk up empty Main Street. Then, you are closer to whatever ride/attraction you want first. As for dinner, it was fine, but I like to avoid meals on theme park days inside the park and just do QS. It takes up too much time.

We did lunch in 2003 and dinner in 2009.
We are planning to do breakfast in 2011.

Lunch and dinner were really good IMHO. Of course, I know that according to people who go more frequently than we do that food quality is now terrible everywhere.

In 2003 and 2009, I really loved the salads. Everything that I tried before dessert was really good. I really wasn't all that impressed with desserts, but they weren't bad, just nothing yummy (compared to say Ohana bread pudding or a Dole Whip float). I thought the buffet was MUCH better than Chef Mickey's (which was like Golden Corral or college cafeteria). I thought they had a few more interesting selections than CM and plenty for kids or meat/potatoes kind of people.

I would do lunch/dinner again in a heartbeat, but we have Ohana for dinner that night (only night we could get Ohana and we already planned MK that day), so we got a CP breakfast ADR before park opening.

Ditto ! :thumbsup2

We have dinner there and it was very good how every we prefer breakfast because we can get into the parks early before they actually open. Both good choices food wise though but I will vote breakfast because of early entrance.

We do breakfast at CP on every trip - it is our favorite & a must do for us. The buffet is nice - it has some standard options, but some unique ones also, such as puffed french toast and breakfast pizza :worship: We did dinner at CP once in 2009 and it was just ok - not bad, but not great either.

Done dinner twice and breakfast once and I LOVE breakfast!!! Dinner is nice for the atmosphere especially right before the parade and fireworks but the food is just ok. The breakfast is AMAZING!!!! its my fave!!! Enjoy either one they both are great for different reasons!
