Crystal Palace or Liberty Tree Tavern?

Crystal Palace. Great variety of food and very good quality for a buffet IMHO. And we like our food.;)

Just looking for opinions please:)
We have eaten at both and liked both. Crystal Palace has much better food though and as of January 5, 2009, Liberty Tree Tavern will no longer have a character meal.

Crystal Palace for sure if you want characters in 2009. I would probably suggest it over LTT anyway even if characters are not an issue.

I have not personally experienced at bad meal at LTT. DF & I have had lunch there a few times, and loved it each time. We haven't done the character dinner there, but have that planned for our next trip (Christmas Day), and we're looking forward to trying it before it changes. We have went to CP for dinner in the past (once), and weren't the biggest fans of it. The time that we went, the food was lukewarm, and rather unflavorful. We have only had one buffet experience that ranks lower than the CP one, and that would be Hollywood & Vine in DHS, but that's a differant rant. I'd go with LTT based off of personal experience alone, but DF and I haven't ruled out a return trip to CP in the future...it is possible we just caught them on an off night.

We like both and eat at both when we go to Disney. That said, If I had to pick one, it would be Crystal Palace.

My vote goes to LTT! The whole family LOVES everything about it - atmosphere, characters, and food.

Something to consider - do you want a chance to relax, with your meal being served to you, or would trips to a buffet be okay? I usually consider our "sit down" meals as such, using it as time to rest up a bit. Trips back and forth to the buffet for myself AND with DD can sometimes feel like a chore.

Crystal Palace!! We were told when we were there in august that thats where alot of the Disney Chefs in training work... so there are supervised.. Scrambled eggs are scrambled eggs but i swear to god ... theres were the best.

I like them both. But since the characters are leaving LTT in Jan, I probably won't be eating there anymore. :(

We're in the minority who would choose LTT. We ate breakfast at CP & dinner at LTT a few weeks ago. To be honest, I wouldn't choose either of them for the food. You can definitely get better food elsewhere on WDW property, but I understand going for the experience. Nothing about CP impressed us. I made sure to try all the favs raved about on here, & they obviously had a bad day when making all of them. I don't see what the hype is about. The fact that we'd eaten at Tusker House, in our opinion a superior buffet, the day before, probably didn't help. We also had to chase Eeyore down to get a pic, before leaving. At LTT, the food is edible & filling. The character experience & atmosphere was much better. W/o the characters at LTT, I would skip it though.

I've eaten at both. But I prefer the Crystal Palace. It's nice to have so many yummy choices.

We've always liked LTT just fine, but when I called today and found out it won't be a character meal, I switched to 1900 Park Fare instead. It's still close and convenient, and my kids are not big Winnie-the-Pooh fans anymore.

What characters do you want to see and what do you want to eat? Pooh and buffet - CP. Minnie, Goofy, C&D, comfort food served - LTT.

We are into CP. My children would go there any day. :)

Definitely Crystal Palace. The buffet has a good variety and what can I say - they have Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore!
