We are trying to nail down where we will be eating prior to the illuminations cruise. Right now we have reservations at 5:10 at the Crystal Palace and 5:40 at the Garden Grill. We have to be at the Yacht Club Marina at 8:00. We are still hoping for Le Cellier but no time slots have opened yet. If you had to choose which would you do? Also, how long does it take to get to the Marina from those three places. Thank you.

It will be much more convenient for you to go from Garden Grill to YC. :) Going from CP to YC will take much longer than the Epcot restaurants, which will take 10 to 20 minutes. (walk or boat)

I agree that Garden Grill will be easier. You can walk through the gateway to the BC/YC and catch your boat that way. I would definitly go for a restaurant in Epcot, not at a different park. GG has great food, so it should be a nice choice.

Not only would Garden Grill would be easier -- it would have FAR BETTER food, IMO. We're not CP fans in my family -- but Garden Grill is awesome!!

I recommend a restaurant in Epcot.
That's what we're doing!

We've got an Illuminations Cruise booked for next week, leaving from the Yacht Club marina. We've got an ADR at the Princess Norway dinner at 5:00.
I originally had an ADR for 1900 PF, but I switched after I booked the cruise.

(Our boat is also going to be decorated, & I've ordered a cake!!) :cool1:

**Here's some pixiedust: for good weather for both of our cruises!!

It is good to hear you liked the food. I have heard mixed reactions on this and most of them say the food is not that great. That is why I was leaning toward the extra walk at the Crystal Palace. We want to do a character meal as we have a DS who is 8. I opted not for the princess one as I was sure he would enjoy the others better being he is a boy. We are still hold out for possibly getting dinner reservations at Le Cellier but Garden Grill or Crystal Palace is our second choice now.

Just to make the point here about the CP time....You will have to take the monorail or drive all the way to YC from MK. This is not a huge deal, but the monorail is going to take you a lot more time than walking from Epcot. GG food is delicious, so I wouldn't consider a meal in a different park as an option at all. If you can't get LeCellier or GG, I would still choose another Epcot restaurant, or something like Cape May Cafe in the BC or something on the Boardwalk.

I read the bad reviews before we went to Garden Grill and almost cancelled. We were pleasantly surprised by the food, it was good! The character interaction was wonderful, Farmer Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale, which DS9 liked better than CP (although he did like CP but thought we were seeing Pooh more for his brother). I would go for the ease of being already at Epcot.
