My DH and I tried to get a PS at Chef Mickey's for the morning we're going to the MK, but they didn't have any PSs left, so I asked for Crystal Palace or 1900 Park Fare, and they have availability at both......Which breakfast is better, as far as assortment and quality of food??? Thanks for your help! :)

We love the selection and characters -- Mary Poppins and Bert!!-- at 1900 Park Fare. It's one of our favorite places to dine with the characters. The atmosphere is festive and fun, and the food is terrific.

Crystal Palace is also good, but I think it's bigger, can accomodate more kids, and so gets a little crazier. One thing that's neat: last time I was there, they had the fabulous "breakfast lasagna," with fruit and pancakes and cream all layered together. Mmmm. :)

We haven't done Crystal Palace yet (planning to on this upcoming trip) but our all time favorite character breakfast is at 1900 Park Fare! The food is hot and delicious and the characters are great. The restaurant, although a bit noisy, it is a character breakfast after all, is lovely. They have made-to-order omeletts and all the other standard buffet fare but the quality of the food seemed a cut above some of our other character breakfasts including Chef Mickey's.

The advantage to CP over 1900 is that if you are going to be in the MK anyway that morning, CP is more convenient. I can't wait to try Crystal Palace this trip because I have heard wonderful things about it but as I said 1900 Park Fare is my favorite!

That is such a tough choice! I think the food at both is equally wonderful. We got a PS before park opening at CP and that was really neat being on Main Street with so few people. (We got some great pics) I would probably also think about which set of characters you would like to see more.

We think the food at 1900 PF is the best breakfast food for any buffet at WDW. Very good quality and made your own omlettes are wonderful. The CM are very attentive and the characters are very interactive. We had Mary Poppins at check-in, Mad Hatter, Tigger, Pooh, and Belle on Jan 1,2003(but I think Belle was a sub for Alice that day). We have been to most of the charqcter buffet breakfasts and this is tops IMHO.

1900 Park Fare is our family's choice for breakfast.
The made to order omelets were out of this world.

The MAD HATTER was an absolute riot!

Definitely on our places to eat list for our next visit.

Since you are going to MK...the CP is real convenient, especially if you get an early sitting. If you love the Pooh characters, (Eeyore, Piglet,Tigger) they each come around to your table and spend a bit of time. We enjoyed that character breakfast in 2001 and plan to try 1900 Park Fare this August. Good luck!

The Crystal Palace is my choice. The restaurant is pretty and the food is great IMO. And it's nice to step out of the restaurant and be right in MK.

Not done CP but just got back from WDW and did 1900 Park Fare! The food was great! DH and I enjoyed the "talking" characters but DS was expecting Tigger and so we were pretty dissapointed since the CM I booked through said he would be there!

It has to be Crystal Palace. That is our family's all time fav breakfast. Enjoy!!

We did both just last week. Food selection is great at both Buffets. If you want Tigger or Piglet go to CP. Otherwise we actually preferred the characters at 1900 Park Fare, Alice, Mad Hatter (a real hoot!!), Mary Poppins, Pooh, Eeyore.

have just booked 1900 park fare for August & we're so looking forward to it.

The cm when i booked says they can't guarentee which characters will be there.

CP is in MK up main street to the left of the castle and 1900 Park Fare is off the main lobby to the left at GF.

We ate Easter breakfast at 1900 Park Fare this year. The food was very good and for the most part it was hot. The omelet bar is very good and the kids station was perfect for all of the little ones. The characters were very attentive to everyone, adults included. I have never eaten at CP, but I will go back to 1900 Park Fare next time I get to WDW!!
